The scene where chris pratt refuses to give up on saving rocket after he flatlines, that was probably the most powerful scene I’ve seen pratt perform. Perfect execution.

I now realize that the plot point of rescuing the little girls was to advance Drex’s character. Since his daughter died. It’s nice to see him making amens 😭 saddest part out of the Guardians’ individual stories is him losing his little family

Drax: "One stupid guy that no one loves" Star Lord: "Now you're just making it sad" Best conversation of the year
  • Gotta say, the cgi in gotg 3 is the best in the entire trilogy. The costume design and face design was absolutely incredible

13:00 isn't a baby elephant, it's a tapir. Despite their pig/elephant like appearance, they're actually more related to horses and rhinos. The trunk is just convergent evolution! Hope this helps!
  • @HeisenbergFam
Congrats to Canadian lad for becoming an uncle, loving the fact hes more consistent than 50% of US marriages
  • @24Months
I am pretty sure that is a Tapir not a baby elephant. Just saying haha

Another detail that I love about the "swap" between Gamora and Nebula: Remember how---in EVERY guardians movie, + infinity war, NEBULA is crashing a jet/spaceship into everything to make her entrance???? Well Gamora takes that role in GG3, crashing the Bowie into Counter-Earth almost hitting Quill. Love it, Lad!
  • I've been thinking about this for a while but with this movie I already decided, James Gunn is my favorite director of superhero movies and one of my favorite directors in general, always entertaining, with charisma, with well-written protagonists, with visuals, direction and above all Excellent music, it can make me laugh with the stupidest thing and then make me cry because of the connection it makes with its characters, this closing is wonderful, and it is very clear that Superman is in good hands

I really love Drax’s story arc as he initially became “the Destroyer” to avenge his dead family. Now that he became a dad to a whole population of kids and that made him dance and wholesome is so heartwarming

1:18 to me, I think it goes with his charater, especially in the beginning. The reason why he shuts people out is because he's afraid of letting people in and experience vulnerability. When all the little raccoons ran away from the hand of the high evolutionary, he stood still not because he was strong... he was afraid to move.

I absolutely love this movie. I literally have one gripe with it, and that is that I would have preferred if Drax didn’t speak the same language as the kid, and managed to convince them to help via body language. He’s a father deep down, him being able to be a father again. Not because they can talk, but because he is genuinely a good father figure would have made the scene even better in my opinion. I still cried for that scene anyways, so it’s not like the actual scene is bad in any way

That Miguel O'hara jump scare got me😅 Amazing break-down by the way
  • @richguy32
Man that scene of Drax dancing brings me to tears each time. Such a simple scene with so much meaning

Nice observations. One that you can see at regular speed that I haven't seen anyone mention is this. During Adam Warlock's attack at the beginning, when Mantis jumps on him, he breaks her right arm. Moments later, after Rocket has been wounded, she calls for Peter while pressing down on Rocket's wound with her left hand while her right arm just dangles at her side. When Peter brings the med packs over, she waits until he puta the pack on Rocket before putting another on her left arm to help heal her own wound. It happens so quickly, it is easy to miss, but it is really good attention to detail.

There's something I've noticed about Rocket and how he pilots ships. In the first Guardians, all of the controls are designed for individuals of normal to tall size... Where they're positioned and how far they're spaced apart. By Guardians 2, in the scene where the Guardians are being chased by the Sovereign due to Rocket stealing from them, if you watch the scenes with Rocket in the cockpit chair, you'll noticed it's been modified specifically for him, as the controls are closer to the chair, compared to where Quill is sitting where the controls are far apart. In Vol. 3, you'll noticed that in the flashback of young Rocket escaping, he gets on a ship where the controls are too far from the seat, and he literally hast to climb the steering wheel and use his body to turn and maneuver this ship. Then by the time you get to the "Bowie", you'll noticed that the controls are different. In order to steer, the controls are more versatile, allowing anyone to pilot it, more range of motion, including for Rocket due to his small stature. I thought this was always interesting, as it is a small detail no one (from what I've been able to see about for ALL the hidden details for all 3 guardians movies) has spoken about.

Sir when I re-watched the film, I noticed a detail. When Star Lord opened the car, besides him, Groot saw him opening the door using the handle and he followed the same. Groot is one of the best characters and James Gunn proved the statement by showing his reactions in every scenario instead of dialogues in whole franchise. Big fan from India. India loves you as much as India loves Marvel.
  • @mikhail5428
The scene of Rocket screaming "No" made Guardians 3 the only MCU movie that made me cry, and also the scene of him watching all those other animals
  • @onewen
Awesome vid! When i think of Drax dancing, i think of it as him being ready to no longer be "alone" as he was grieving the loss of his family all this time. Now he is willing to open his heart again for the children to be their "dad" and accept his place as their new dance partner.
