  • Lena, just wanted to thank you. I’m going into my 19th year of carrying a pistol, and every year I just barely pass our annual qualifications course. I stumbled across your videos and binge watched them over and over again every day for about a week. Went to the range today and I was a totally different shooter. I landed every round I shot from the 25 in the center mass. I use to always throw them low left from that distance, even missing the target completely sometimes. I’ve worked with several Firearms Instructors throughout the years, and what they tried correcting me on never really clicked. The way you explain things just makes sense to me. It’s like a light bulb went off for me. You’re an excellent teacher. Thanks again.

The Miculek family are a real blessing to people like myself getting into handguns. Lena is a great communicator and teacher. Great video!
  • I’ve been shooting handguns for probably 10 years now and everytime I watch one of these I still learn something
  • @AtlasJotun
That was a huge amount of concise, easy-to-digest and well-rounded information. All delivered in about one-tenth the time of the average pistol 101 course. You Miculeks are somethin' else!
  • @The_Privateer
America (and the world, for that matter) needs more role models like Lena.
  • @VikingVic76
Lena is a great teacher with sound advice and a calm informative Style. Plus she's one of the best Shooters in the world so you can't ask for a better instructor.
  • A fellow female firearms instructor here and I've watched about 20 videos tonight trying to find a REALLY GREAT video to share for my clients and I just want to say that this video is perfect. Your content is great, accurate, informative, funny and engaging. Great job. :)
  • @average__joe
Absolutely golden material for ALL shooters, taught clearly and concisely, with an emphasis on repetition and muscle memory. Outstanding job.
  • @misiol
Love how she NEVER swept the camera plane when she was moving around showing the grip. She always lowered the barrel while turning. Just safety muscle memory.
  • @davidsmart4587
I agree, she has a natural teaching talent. I've been shooting longer than she's been alive and she shakes out my bad habits.
  • @tomasteply1956
"Make sure there is no ammunition around..." Oh that piles behind lol
  • @ChrisSlack
I’ve been doing 30 minute new shooter sessions with my 12 year old daughter. I might have her watch this with me during our next session and then do 10 minutes of dry practice
  • Where was Lena 30 years ago when I was forming all my bad habits? Oh, that’s right - she wasn’t born yet! This is a great lesson for beginners and experienced shooters who are trying to overcome bad habits. The previous video where Lena & Jerry appeared together and spoke at length about presenting the gun, acquiring the sights, without staring at the target helped me a lot. I remember Jerry speaking on TV about speed shooting and bringing his gun up, then “cleaning up the sight picture”. I didn’t understand what he meant until he & Lena talked about not staring at the target first. There was a lightbulb moment...

This video is just what I needed to watch. I just bought a new gun and I'm heading to the range for the first time tomorrow for a beginner lesson. This young lady is an excellent teacher!
  • @mecha91
I love how you can see bits of her dad poping out and then shwap, she's all original. Lols.
  • @davidpierce9065
As a male vet 42 years of age. With tactical experience. I find this to be excellent. And a primary lesson. Well done. Please keep it up. This is a great lesson. This may be my new militia training sequence. Outstanding!
  • @robbropyro3283
With the millions of new gun owners 2020 has brought us these r great drills, hope they find this channel and learn it right from the start.
  • @FrostyBud777
I just sent this video to a friend who just purchased her first firearm. Thank you for all your instructional videos to both of you
  • @jaymo2511
Just got my LTC and after watching this, I was clearly not ready for the range. This filled in the gaps. I’m a visual learner and this helped tremendously. Thanks!
  • @annsan6499
I'm a new shooter. Have only been to the range three times. Your video is the textbook preparation everyone needs before hitting the range. It just makes sense. Thank you!
