I love that moment where Sarek gives McCoy the ta'al and McCoy just looks at his hand like, "Okay fingers, time to cooperate! Nope, not happening." Great acting choices by Kelley there.

Personally I love Amanda. She is quite beautiful and she is also a wonderful mother to Spock. I feel like she is a very underrated character. Plus you got to give her points for everything she did marrying Sarek. I know they love each other but being a human married to a Vulcan can't be the easiest thing

When this episode first premiered, this must have been stunning for the fans. It was already established that Spock's family must have been very important given that T'Pau was earlier introduced in the season premier episode and it was mentioned that she was an extremely important and influential Vulcan.
