You Must Beware of This DANGEROUS New Ideology

In the early 90s and while an atheist, I'd watch the news and look at the state of the world pondering the evil presented on the evening news. Murder, rape, bashings, etc. Then one evening while commenting to myself about the human race, the mirror was turned on me with a thought that was stamped into my consciousness. 'Everything you see about humanity and all the wickedness you observe in others, you yourself is capable of'. I believe that thought was prompted by The Holy Spirit. A year and a half later, He would intervene again when I was looking at taking my life and He gave me two reasons to stay alive. A year later, I was born-again.

The favourite modern phrase punted to this generation: to be myself. Lord protect me from THAT! If I were to be myself I would be utterly lost.

Proverbs 25 tells us that the fool is better than the one who does right in his own eyes. So, when we tell people: “do whatever is right for you” we’re encouraging them to be worse than fools.

I became a Christian 50 years ago and I've always I've always found my identity as a child of God and the things He's imbued to me in Christ. That is, my identity is not in myself, but in Christ. Col 3 reads: "For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then shall you also appear with him in glory." Galations 2 " I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me..." My identity is that of God's child and in my life my purpose is to imitate Him and His character and attributes all that I can. I could go on....😄 but I'll spare ya'll.

Our identity is in Christ! Idolatry of self is very evident in this new ideology. Thank you Martyn! God bless your ministry

Thank you Martyn, your style of teaching is so refreshing. It is so disappointing to me to see the veiwer states, 3265 veiws and only 288 thumbs up 9 minutes after you uploaded. Assuming the majority of veiwers are Christians I have to wonder why they are not clicking the thumbs up as these numbers are accessed by youtube for recommending this video to other viewers. This discussion catapulted me into researching the very interesting topic of genetics and criminality. I've only just begun, but I already find an abundance of scientific articles that indicate that there is a genetic component, and it is not limited to people in lower socioeconomic or educational conditions, or those who have mental issues, but it also includes those who have privilege, higher education, and wealth as well as those in the middle of these two extremes. This is just further evidence of the truth of Scripture which says, "There is none righteous, no not one... " Romans 3:10. No one knows the hearts of men better than our Creator!!! But, praise God, we have hope of redemption through faith in the only sinless man who ever lived, Jesus Christ, the very son of God, who paid the penalty for our sins in His death on the cross. May God give us all the grace to put aside our pride and call out to the only One who can help us. Thank you, Martyn Iles for speaking the truth.
