AI can be used in so many wonderful ways and also for some not so great ways. Where is the line and what are the ethics dealing with Deepfakes? As generative AI continues to improve in its ability to create "real-time" deepfake video, we as a society, especially in academia need to think about and discuss how this technology should be used. AI Literacy plays a major role in this so that people can develop critical thinking capabilities and can better protect themselves from negative uses of AI (example: improper deepfakes).
