On my trip to the Black Sea region last year, I set out to visit the 100-year-old abandoned house I had discovered. Subsequently, I managed to locate the rightful owner and spent a day with them. I recorded the words they spoke on video and returned to be a guest at the house once again.

This old house was originally constructed in a remote area known as a "mezra," far from the village, and it was designed to accommodate farmers and livestock keepers. During its construction, people questioned, "Why build a house so far away?" However, the person who built the house gave an intriguing response: "One day, someone may need this place, and there's no harm in having a house here."

During the Russian occupation of the Black Sea region, this house became a refuge for the villagers, and today, it served as a sanctuary for me. The atmosphere in this place was truly remarkable. I am very happy to have heard this story and spent that night in this house. I slept through heavy rain, accompanied by incredible thunder, and it felt like the house was almost shaking.

By morning, many riverbeds had expanded, and there had been a landslide. This marked the end of a journey filled with memories spent in this house, and the historical narrative of this place deeply moved me.

With the stormy night and your cosy interior of the cottage it looked so romantic. I love your videos and your mission to share your world with us. Very glad you didn’t fall into that raging river. Till next time …… Love your Aussie friends. Fiona and John. 🦘😊🙏
  • Its wonderful to see and dwell for a time in your great grandfathers house...a privilege. I really enjoyed the working corn mill and the bread you made with it. Such a beautiful part of Turkey...you are blessed.

Duong, is this your great-grandfather’s forest house? I love seeing the places you visit. You live in a beautiful country with so many historic landmarks and gorgeous sites. You present them as if I’m there with you 😊. As a former hiker, backpacker, and camper being able to travel with you helps me live my former camping days which I truly miss 😢. Your channel is very unique and I get enjoyment from just watching it! Your videos are informative, peaceful ,gorgeous, tranquil, breathtaking, relaxing, and very serene. I wish you continued success with your channel. You certainly deserve it. Love and God Bless you, your family, and your pets. Your friend from the US, Linda ♥️😊♥️!

Amazing. Especially with this bagpipe opening. It must be awesome have place like this. Places where we can realize the beauty of simplicity and naturalness. Places like this are for those which have or want find peace in soul. I like your attitude towards the matter. Anyway I'm sorry that floods and landslide, you know mother of nature doing things by her way.

Greetings! I remember your older videos of the house and that area. I am amazed by the old stonemill that still grinds corn into such fine flour. The rain makes all the greenery so vibrant and lush. The stream is beautiful but I can see that with a lot of rain it becomes a torrential river. I have to admit, watching you walk on that wooden bridge with the raging river below it made me very nervous; it looked as though it had already sustained flood damage. The ending aerial views of mountains, valleys and winding roads are wonderful. Thank you for taking us with you on your adventures. As always my friend, stay safe, be well and happy.
  • Ah, a special atmosphere, with the mixture of past memories of a Grandfathers seclusion and the mists that try so hard to cover the truth :shelterin: Well, I´m happy you stayed on the right side of the footbridge, yet bring some dog food in that big truck next time, fish bones are the worst for a large dog. Forgive me, yet you did not look poor! Maybe even some meat would have been a good idea? He certainly has an incredible view living there and constant climbing on slippery paths would have kept him spry too. Thanks for the time and very special experience, it was very moving. I loved, no I fell in love with that peace of music, so thank you again. It might have a name? 🕊
