This video is a start-to-finish DIY renovation time lapse of an abandoned warehouse-style building in Chicago. This abandoned building was completely trashed when I bought it in 2020, and I spent 4 years of my life renovating it to create my dream home and workshop. I documented the renovation process in over 50 YouTube videos, and I’ve done my best to combine all those videos into one start-to-finish renovation video here.

Thank you to everyone for all the amazingly kind words in the comments, and for being with me on this journey! I can't believe its been 4 years. If you'd have told me when I was graduating high school that this is what I'd be doing with my life, I would never have believed you.... Life is strange, and wonderful, and through the ups and downs, its an amazing world, where any one of us can truly be anything we want to be. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my journey with you, and am so excited for what the future holds... a big announcment is coming soon :) Much love to all of you, and thank you again for watching my videos to make all this possible.
  • I’m jealous of the people who just stumble upon this video and get to see everything at once instead of waiting on pins and needles for 4 years for the next video to drop.haha. Such an amazing transformation and very entertaining to follow along since the beginning nonetheless.

I began watching this series with my girlfriend during the COVID period. It's incredible to think that now she's my wife, and we even have a child together. We've seen every episode of this series and just wanted to express our gratitude for sharing such a fantastic series with us.

RIP to the dual facing toilets... forever in our heart ❤

I remember when I started to watch this series... I watched the first 4 parts and then I stopped, 'cause I was facing some health problems and didn't think I would get to see it finish. Now, after 4 years I can watch the whole thing. I'll be watching all the 50+ videos.

These jobs are so underrated. The skill, precision, understanding, math, etc it takes to create these spaces is undervalued.

I'm one of those lucky enough to have caught from the get go. Thank you. You've inspired, entertained and made my life a little bit happier everytime one of your videos showed up.

Im so sorry for what you went through, and to have your gf leave you when your at your lowest says alot about her. I would love to get you on my podcast one day. Talk about your mental health throughout this whole process. Keep smashing it bro! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

The only thing I'm mad about is that YouTube never suggested your channel and I love renovation channels. This was absolutely incredible to watch Thank you so much for filming this journey and for just being so amazing in your design process! So absolutely inspirational!
  • I really admire people who not only have the skills, patience and the work ethic required to do this kind of thing but also to have the Vision to see what things could become.

A journey like this takes so much patience, faith, and endurance. I applaud your hard work. May you enjoy the fruits of your labor for many years to come❤

I genuinely can't believe its been 4 years I remember when you first purchased this building and I had nothing to look back at and now 4 years later the transformation is just amazing. Also the fact you somehow managed to make me actually fully watch a whole 2 hour video is amazing within itself. I am proud of all the work you've done mate and I look forward to seeing more of you.
  • I'm sure I'm not the only one to say this, but I've been watching your journey from SA from the time you bought the building when covid just hit the world and have watched every video since, in fact, the minute a video landed I wouldn't waste time to watch it. it's been a great journey watching how your skills and all the rest have improved over the years and seen how your channel has grown since then, wow it has been monumental... May this new chapter of finishing off your building and moving on to the next project(s) be just as successful and hopefully we'll get to see more video's and won't stop 🙂

Wow, a whole run-through for a Friday night! grabs beer and snacks
  • @prnmeds
Remember the day you announced you bought the warehouse. Wild to me that 4 years have gone by, and you've done so much. In and out of love, nearly died, and look at all you've built, all you've accomplished. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your interesting world!
  • @HfxZack
I recently started getting into DIY and home improvements. I'm technical by nature, and after stumbling onto your channel, I not only want to buy one of those magical Carpenter machines, I want to be like you when I grow up - lol. Great content man. Thanks for putting that all together. Glad you're still with us! Suuuubscribed.
