Wow, that's alot of stuff to carry around and you are using a 50 liter pack. I've watched a large selection of videos about walking the caminos and they all stress not over packing. The less weight and bulk the better. I will have to go through my list again, but the weight goal is 10 lbs, less if you can cut down on more stuff.

Did the Cotopaxi jacket keep you warm?? I actually was thinking of getting it for the Camino next month lol. I get cold easily.

I have Cascade poles for hiking in the Pacific Northwest,.... love them!! I wish I could carry them on a plane for my camino.

I love gear videos, and cool that you where at Galicia at same time as me :D Even tohugh i did a different camino. Hopefulyl we meet one day too, and take a beer or Cafe :)

So Katie, you’ve gone up to a fifty litre pack, interesting. I’m still not convinced about your argument for packing cubes. However, it maybe that I use a rounder shaped bag. Merino underwear? I would say that’s a new one on me but that might be a bit weird. Just a thought, if you keep your housewife(sewing kit) with your first aid kit, you’ll only need one pair of scissors. Tuff cuts would be better. (Crap moment), a hairbrush for each armpit and a comb for your hair? The tangling is caused by static electricity. Companies like Paul Mitchell, used to produce anti tangle shampoo. It does work. The dog horn is a nice touch, anything to disrupt an animals behaviour. A dog dazer would also work by disrupting behaviours, however, is no good on lusty men. I’m surprised that you had to check your poles, I put mine in my pack.
