First Time Snowbirds #2 | The 3-Day Roadtrip to Arizona |

Published 2022-11-27
In this second episode of "First Time SnowBirds" I invite you to join us on our 3-day, 1,200 Miles Roadtrip, from Portland, OR to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We are climbing Siskiyou Pass with a 4,300 feet summit, to enter California. It had snowed the previous couple of days, but the road conditions are fine. To save gas, we went very slow, with emergency lights on. What could possibly go wrong as we finally enter California? You'll see. It was just another hurdle along the way.....We spent our first night in the parking lot at 7 feathers Casino, and ended up sleeping at a Rest area for the second night. Wow, what a trip....
I invite you to join us on our Journey, and experience first hand, through my eyes, what it is like to be a Snowbird spending the Winter in Arizona. I will post weekly updates and videos of our adventures and experiences over the next view months. At this point I am planning on publishing a new video every Sunday Morning.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!!!!

7 Feathers in Canyonville, Or. is a wonderful place to stop. The official campground on the west side of the I-5 is stunningly gorgeous! I like to walk my dog back there & appreciate the beautiful landscaping, cute stream & woods. Pick wild plums & blackberrys. 👌 Their travel center is unique too, they actually sell fresh fruits & veggies; nice for truckers like me. ( My only gripe is their awful coffee, otherwise 5stars for 7 Feathers!) Glad you made it to the 🏜.
