GMC’s introduction of the first-ever Sierra EV marks a turning point for the premium truck brand, as it expands its portfolio of all-electric trucks.

Led by the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, it offers uncompromising pickup capability, a GM-estimated 400 miles of range1 on a full charge and unique features made possible only by its dedicated EV truck platform.

Disclaimer: GMC provided me with one night hotel accommodations and meals while I was in Detroit. I made my own travel to and from the events.

    400 miles range for an EV is exceptional and this truck has excellent looks and capability. =A huge upgrade all around.

    Great overview Ken, this is quite an impressive vehicle for those that can afford it! Hopefully the less expensive base versions will be produced in quantity before too long. The on-board power outlets are a great feature when used as a work truck or for projects around the home or farm, and for times of power outages. The more brands that offer pickups the better, competition will benefit the customer with more choices and better pricing. Towing will still be a challenge for EV pickups, even with large battery packs in many regions until charging infrastructure is improved considerably
