Like no other part of the world, Newfoundland offer some striking nature
experiences. I spent two weeks travelling around the island and this video covers what to do and how you can plan your visit to this wonderful province of Canada.
I hope you will enjoy this video, and if so feel free to give it a like and subscribe to my channel, it is completely free!

And if you have visited the island or have any questions - I would enjoy reading them in the comment section!

I post videos about everything culture-related so (hit the subscribe button to) stay tuned :)

All the best

Newfoundland is back to basics. The basics of life, emotion, responsibilities, nature, friendships. Its nice to see newly arrived immigrants from Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East enjoy the simplicity of Newfoundland. To be accepted for who they are and to be part of a warm and peaceful community. It does not have the wealth or international flair of Vancouver, Boston or New York. In fact that is what makes it so inviting.

Great video. I am thinking about an escorted tour of Newfoundland in 2024. Love your accent!
  • I just returned from the most amazing trip to Newfoundland. I already can’t wait to return.

Newfoundland and Labrador. Labrador was added many years ago. PS During 9/11, there were planes diverted to the airport at Gander. Far and Away was a musical based on the experiences of the passengers and townspeople. And I think mummery is a Christmas tradition in NF too.

Great video and summary. Most people don’t get to see that much on their trips so you did a lot. I would say 1 day is too little in St. John’s. But no more than a week. Only 3 meals (usually) in a day and St. John’s is a foodie town so that what I would say you might have missed out on.

Looks like you have a great trip to Newfoundland. Welcome to the island. The Tragically Hip loved Mistaken Point enough to include it in the song Fly. Along that route, you passed Saint Vincent's where the whales come right close to the shore in June. The Puffins do come across the gap fairly often. If you're staying in the area, keep trying! Pack a picnic and walk out to Cable John Cove (just past Spillars Cove near Bonavista). Cable John Cove is one of my favourite spots in Newfoundland. Have your lunch and boil up a coffee. It's very chill. For those that enjoy local restaurants and scenery, be sure to stop into Trinity, and Old Bonaventure along this route. Great job moose spotting! If you come back to St. John's I'll buy you a beer and share some tips.

Great and realistic video. In Newfoundland right now. Thanks for the tips!

You drove right past my house on the most southern tip when you did the Irish Loop (St. Vincent's/St. Mary's area), glad to see you enjoyed my home province!
  • As an Newfie myself, my favorite place to visit is the Salmonier Nature Park and The terra Nova National Park, St.John's is always fun for shopping and sight seeing - I haven't been there in an while. I live 20 minutes outside of Clarenville, so that means 3 hour drive to St.Johns - gas has gotten so expensive.
  • A fellow Newfie here, surprising to see you not do the "Kiss the Cod" 'screech-in' the Newfie swearing-in while you were here, that's an event of its self lol, also many great places you've missed, all the water falls, rivers an animals and whales etc

This is a very nice sketch of Newfoundland, well done! Of course it is just a wave-top summary and there are hundreds of individual communities with nooks and crannies and unique attractions to suit all tastes.

Hey cool I’m from Newfoundland. My moms family comes from twillingate I lived there when I was little 😁 I use to free climb those cliffs you showed from crow head. Love the video man. Thanks for visiting us. Hope you could understand MOST of what everyone said. 😂 ✌️&❤️
  • A trip in Newfoundland I would suggest is to go around the Irish Loop on southern part , I've lived here for the past 20 years and have made that trip several times, going again soon . Beautiful ! The Loop going south from St. John's has more amenities and facilities than the road on the west side coming back up to St. John's but the scenery makes up for it

Woaw! You got to see a bear 😍 Nice shots, amazing landscapes. This made me want to travel and explore. 😊 Some parts reminded me of Norway and some parts of Gotland.
