Wish school admin offices would listen to you!!
  • @adamrice1087
They do it hoping they will quit so no one has to deal with conflict.

You speak the truth...sad that administrators don't address the PROBLEM!
  • @lorenawalsh816
My school did that for years - they even hired that crazy witch back after she retired! Luckily, I had retired myself by then
  • Agree so much! I think a lot of these decisions are made from not wanting to offend or being afraid

It is interesting the connection people have in schools. I have worried about some people because they are friends or relatives to board members. You never know what is under the iceberg.

THANK YOU. And teachers (not to mention students) are the ones who feel the burn, all of whom aren’t paid enough to compensate them and their to do lists for the extra weight and stress.

Amen....dealt with said issue last year ...
  • @pamzimmerman640
Amen! Happened to us! Central office moved a toxic principal into our school where the climate and culture between administrators and staff, teachers and students, parents and teachers as well as administrators and students was supportive, nurturing and kind. We lost our beloved principal who knew every one of the 850 students by name and greeted them every morning and gave us an entitled, self righteous, my way is better even though I haven’t stepped into a classroom in eons principal who did not care what anyone thought or who left. Teachers left at astounding rates and by the time they finally escorted her out by police escort, there was no parent involvement or pta anymore, nor were there any of the original teachers. Very sad.

👏👏👏 Saw this too many times in my career. Bottom line the students suffered. Shame on those administrators that did/do this to children.

I am an itinerant teacher with a doctorate in leadership and professional practice. Your video reminds me of what what one of my cohort members, a middle school lead principal, used to say: A problem ignored is a problem endorsed. In the situations you describe, the toxic person needs help to do one of two things, find a better way to do things or find another career. I appreciate your wit and wisdom, sir. Keep up the good work!

and this is why l retired early! They do this every time, move them from one school to another, then central office, its crazy! Thank you for this one!!! nailed it!

Love your shirt! Bluey is my 2 year old granddaughter's favorite cartoon.
  • Same thing with students. Moving that kid who cannot self regulate to another class is not fixing the problem. They are still going to be aggressive and act out. Moving the kid who is the target of that disregulated child will not fix it either.
  • @mvrooks
Thank you for saying this out loud.
