Hey Heir, not that it is super important but I do just want to shout it out. Hooded Horse is just publishing the game like 95% of the game is made by one guy (I forget his actual name) but he goes by Slavicmagic and I believe Steam correctly has him has the dev. Like I said not a huge deal but when a person does this much amazing work solo, for like 7-8 years (passion project) credit where credit is due.

Making the back yard areas that large will increase the yield for vegetables gardens and orchards but is a waste of space for anything else. I'm also super stoked you're playing this game!

From what I saw other channels on this game - variation of food (backyards, farms, foraging, hunting etc, keeping up with your peoples needs to but you're definitely right with trade, trade is king for this game and having a few of the same building type to really push production.

Not sure if it's something you know already but it wasn't mentioned in the video. The 'eye' symbol on Patchy's portrait toggles you into a mode to walk around your settlement as Patchy in 3rd person. Pretty immersive and unexpected feature!
