It's crazy to think this could be filmed in one take. When it comes to mods, though Rob is the man! It's nice that you don't have to disassemble anything to get them on.

Important note: The Onewheel XRs NEVER had an overheating problem. I'd ride them on the trails here in 100+ degree days in Colorado, never had any issues. The GT is poorly designed, and as usual, the Float Life bros are there to the rescue, doing the things that Future Motion fails to. A theory for why the GT overheats (yes it has a bigger motor, but there's another issue) is that the XR had rails that were anodyzed instead of painted, making them very effective for venting heat. The GT's rails are painted, and therefore don't conduct the heat away from the motor nearly as well. Future Motion saved some money by painting them instead of the old anodyzed style. Not a good move.

I think this is super cool, but it’d be even cooler to get some actual testing to see the difference. I find it extremely frustrating that FM released their “flagship” model, only to have to purchase third-party accessories to have it function properly. While this accessory seems like an awesome addition, I’d still like to see “real world” results of having it on, vs. not.

I need this so bad!!! I was riding a GT and it shut off due to overheating and it was such an abrupt shutoff that it killed me 😂

Glad yu are tackling this problem! If you could ask someone to modify onewheel app so we can set a speed limit so it can beep when we go over 25km on an XR would be ace, Could potentially save lives. Sadly as it is since I never felt pushback and it's always at peak of the fun/ speed you really hurt yourself with nose dive. Just say it's your idea I don't mind.
