Mate I’ll blow your mind with “cd ..”
  • @lolzownt
Changing directories = a hack. Holy what garbage content
  • @matlix224
"hey what does cd stand for?" "cdeez nuts"
  • @uuu12343
To people who are new to NetworkChuck The initial definition of a hack prior to modern day definitions is "an enthusiast and/or activity involving the construction and/or deconstruction of devices with the intent to either learn or create new things", by learning cd means you learned a "hack", a command that gets you to the home directory This is a literal fundamental for beginners who don't know anything, you people who do know the basics - don't be a dick and let beginners learn Let people who is enthusiastic to hype up the content so that beginners will find it interesting Don't be like that university "lecturer" who literally gives a shit lecture, not teach

A good beginner tip, but everyone with one month+ experience with Linux probably has figured this out already by complete accident
  • @IIGrayfoxII
The CD command is not a hack. But the sudo rm - rf - - no-preserve-root / is a magic trick to make your Linux install dissappear
  • @claudiouhl852
That’s literally what I learned on day 1 using Linux
  • @brendon205
I could understand if that was for new Linux users. But for "Linux experts"? Come on...
  • @bobfarker4001
Navigating a file directory is a "hack" Oh i love your sense of humor 😂
  • @brostein6
You like that, try to cd into whitespace between file headers
  • @nytr
Brooooo thats insane i didnt know that unix systems allow you to change directory 0_0 life-changing really
  • @thatsalot3577
I think cd and most of it's options are the first thing anyone learns when they try any unix based OS 💀
  • @vivekgodse3685

Starter coders: Types in /give @s barrier in minecraft for first time Omg! It works! The pro users: yeah so who cares. (This is accurate)

We already know that, in fact there's another way to navigate to a directory by typing in the directory without cd. "~/" is another way to go to a user's home directory. "." is the current directory (it's mostly useful for copying or moving files or folders), and ".." is used to move to the parent directory of the current directory.
