In the US, our local and cable channels (not movie channels) are advertising way to much in a half hour program. It's up to 3 or 4 commercials every few min or so. Some channels are doing repeats of the same commercials back to back or every other. I'm ready to get rid of cable all together and just put a PC on all of the TV's. A lot of the websites, with a add blocker. Have all the same shows and movies that cable has and more, commercial free.
