Best Harley is the one someone else bought new, lost the money, and sold it to you for half. The best Harley has no payment šŸ‘

Just inherited a 2012 street glide with a 110 and a 2012 fat bob with a 120. Really excited to carry on the legacy of my dad whoā€™s now riding free forever.
  • Thanks for sharing the video. Lots of valuable information for beginners. I like to give a slightly different perspective, though. I started riding at age 46 which was 6 years ago. My first bike was a Road King Classic. Bought it and then did the MSF training. After completing the MSF successfully, I came home, jumped on my RK and took off. Two things here: 1. It is important to get a good education what motorcycle riding means. I think with the density of today's traffic, learning how to master every day riding situations is imperative. 2. Go big! At some point everyone wants a touring bike. You always look up so to say to the big twins and think one day I get one. If you start out on a Sportster and then Softail, you spend a good deal of your hard earned cash before you ride the bike you wanted in the first place. Get the bike you really want and ride it like you learned and you'll be alright šŸ˜€ Just my 2 cents ... Ride safe!

Sportster, made for in town and short rides. LOL I've taken my 2004 Sportster XL1200C on road trips to Daytona, Leesburg and Laconia. All of those trips for me were 800 to 1000 miles one way. I had a blast on my Sportster. I've been riding for over 8 years, I still love my Sportster and see no reason to upgrade just yet.

After riding a metric for a couple of years, I went with the Softail Deluxe for my first HD. Although I've trimmed it out with a windshield, bags and cruise control, its really a "chromed out 107 Heritage with white walls" :) I liked the lower weight and slightly lower seat then the Heritage as well. Best advise: Go sit on them and see which one talks to you! Great Video! -PH
  • I learned to ride at 52 (9 years ago), and bought a Heritage Softail Classic as my first bike, it was AMAZING and the perfect first bike for me. I put 100,000 km on it in 5 years then bought a Road Glide and. Have almost 100,000 km on that one. Best fun ever - 2 wheel therapy.
  • @aburt53
I learned on my dadā€™s heritage softail then I went out and got myself a street glide and absolutely love it.
  • My first Harley was and still is a 2014 Softail Breakout FXSB. I wasn't used to all the torque and it definitely gets up and goes. I love this bike. I have put V&H pipes on it. Arlen Ness Monster air filter. and all LED lights as well as all the custom stuff that suits my style.lots of chrome. I removed the passenger seat and passenger foot pegs. I will always keep this bike even when I get another Harley.

For me it was a ā€˜19 Softail Sport Glide. Stage 2 torque cam and a tour pack. Loaded up and then stripped down itā€™s a Fat Baby Boy. Perfectly sits between the classic heritage style and the Low Rider S. I ride 2 up and didnā€™t want an 800 pound bike all the time. Best choice for me!
  • @Silverbulletzx3
My first Harley (first street bike as well) was an Iron 1200. Amazing bike! I have since upgraded to a Sport Glide
  • @Hllywd23
Great video and information on the different styles of HD. After talking to the sales rep and friends who are all are Harley owners and due to my height, I purchased my first bike 2 weeks ago a Road Glide Special.
  • @4drumz-662
I went from a Sporty XL1200 C to a 2018 Heritage Classic. LOVE the Heritage
  • @brandonjones362
First harley= the one you can afford ! Used and still really great! 02 dyna wide glide for me . Its great and Im not in debt . Feels great to chime in!
  • Excellent rundown of the options. Thank you! I started riding in High School on Japanese sport bikes. In 2010, at the age of just over 50, I bought a new Heritage Softail Deluxe. I absolutely love the bike and Iā€™ll never sell it, but the Street Glides and the Ultras are looking really good right now! Me and the Mrs. do a lot of charity rides and want to do some multi-day rides, but the FLSTN just isnā€™t up to the task. Iā€™m just going to have to accept the fact that there will eventually be TWO Harleys in my garage.
  • I ride a Heritage Softtail, 03, anniversary edition, with about 4k in the motor alone. I'll go anywhere, anytime, under any circumstances with my brothers. But I see a lot of newer, bigger bikes than mine that need things like non vibrating motor mounts, etc. BUT, I also used to have a 1200 and even though it was top heavy, I loved that bike and put lots of miles on it.
  • Shows how times have changed. I rode a 81 FXWG to Sturgis from down south. I also rode a 78 ironhead sportster to Key West. Not to mention all the miles in between. To each their own. But there's now way I would buy one new. They crazy with the prices. Buy used.
  • My first bike is a Road King Classic..I'm not scared of it but I will respect it..šŸ„°
  • @rhoonah5849
My first Harley was a 2002 Road King Classic with an 88ci. I bought it back in 2004 and sold it last year to my son and bought a 2020 Street Glide Special. I LOVE the street glide but gotta be honest that it both pains my heart and gives joy to it when I see the boy ride that Road King down the road.
  • Had never been on a motorized 2 wheel anything! Nor anything with a foot shifter... picked up my first softail slim s and had the guys help me load it.. i am glad to say i never laid it down or cause any damage to my bike or other cars. Got me a street glide S nowšŸ¤™šŸ»
