Always liked the look and feel of the Walther P99 Gen 1 pistols.
  • @bushcraft6884
The P99 is a damn, nice, awesome, fine, outstanding Self Defense Handgun.
  • @Chet_24
The Walther ppq m2 45acp was my first gun, and i absolutely love it!
  • The P99 was the first firearm I ever bought, and is still a go-to favorite. AND coveted by anybody that's shot it. I've turned down some offers and will continue to do so. I may look into an upgrade (well, update), I've heard good things about the Q and even the Creed line, but the 99 is one of my best investments.
  • Your original review of the PPQ is one of the reasons I chose it. I totally love this gun. No failures of any type, very accurate & comfortable to operate. Thanks for your great videos!
  • Excellent video... Personally I prefer the p99 for its double action capability which is what I prefer in a concealed carry pistol and is why I like to carry my p99 compact.
  • @voteholyk
I LOVE my PPQ SC. I feel like it is the most under rated carry pistol.
  • Unbelievable how good the P99s hold their own against their newest, sharper brothers. Walther’s pistol designs and their progressive improvements thru their newer lines makes you wish for some worthwhile improvements on your Glock .
  • I have the PPQ SD in .45acp, I love everything about this pistol, the grip, the soft recoil the dead-on accuracy and last but certainly not least the light, crisp trigger.
  • @AARONSHEERN
The trick to the P99's trigger is to think of it like the P38. It's a DA/SA system, first pull is long, every pull after is crazy short and crisp. You also forgot to mention the very convenient cocked indicator on the back. Pro tip, if you already de-cocked the gun and want to use it in SA, do a brass check. Pulling the slide back about 5mm is all it takes to cock the striker.

I'd take all 3 if I could, but settled on the PPQ about a month ago. Great gun. Thanks, Sootch.
  • @TheRealJoshW
All three are just awesome but like many of you here, the P99 is the sentimental favorite!
  • Wow I was literally debating which Walther I should pick up, thanks so much for the extra input Sootch!

Own a ppq Navy and just ordered a pdp 5in full size in green. Thank you and your family for your time and effort.

For me, the decocker made the deal with the P99. I own a compact and sub compact P99as and P99Cas
  • @riverg23
I have the PPQ in the 5” ported model. Love it, still my favorite pistol.
  • @benjones9967
Thanks a million for this vid. Been trying to find a P99 recently and this has me seriously considering a PDP. Much appreciated for the in-depth discussion!
  • I absolutely adore the P99. It is my first Walther, and the gun I shoot and tinker with the most. With the advent of red dots, I decided to swap a PDP 4.5" upper on my P99, and retained the AS mode. Easily my favorite configuration: red dot, ambi slide stops and paddle releases, uses PPQ and PDP mags, fits like a glove. I'm never getting rid of my 9mm frankenstein.
