Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds.     I'm 68 years old. I saw Led Zeppelin twice at Madison Square Garden. They were excellent live. They are by far my favorite rock band of all time.
  • They didn’t require huge lavish productions, they got out there and played raw beautiful music. Led Zeppelin is the best band ever.

    I was 19 then. I played drums is a rock band and virtually worshiped Led Zeppelin. Still do and I'm turning 70 in a few days and I am getting closer to the Stairway. This was a magic time.
