Dominion! We've been through all the Jurassic World movies, and with Jurassic Park done, I thought it would be fun to do this one back to back with JP. Locusts! Not everyone's favorite but I promise there's some stuff you missed. Here's everything right with Jurassic World Dominion!

Can we also stop for a moment to acknowledge that Maisie's reaction when the ladder got clamped down by the giga was one of the most realistic reactions any of the children in this franchise ever had. The way she delivered the line "I'm gonna die" while crying hysterically was superb.

Alan going “yeah” as if he’s having flashbacks to Tim flying off the fence and the line “your rapacious rat bastard” just gives me such joy, just Ian Malcom saying it makes me so damn happy

12:20 There’s actually a reason the Therizinosaurus attacked the deer, you see, Therizinosaurus was an extremely territorial animal and could get very aggressive if something was invading its space, it didn’t attack Claire because she wasn’t making noise, it did attack the deer because it was making noise, very clearly invading the Therizinosaurus’ territory

If you really think about it, the Jurassic franchise has been about about Parenthood and Family. Go back in every movie and the underlying plot is adults saving and protecting kids or the next generation with dinosaurs being the next generation that humans/parents "created/produced"

Fun Fact: Jurassic World: Dominion is the longest film in the Jurassic franchise, with a runtime of 146 minutes.
  • The other Rexes at the end are Buck and Doe from The Lost World. Also this is definitely NOT the end of the series. I believe we’re actually getting another animated series set after Fallen Kingdom, not to mention more movies.

Cool to finally see a true Quetzal in film, Insane to me that nobody thought to include the schoolbus sized Pteranodon yet

I love this movie. Unabashedly and unironically. For a whole bunch of reasons. One of which is finally seeing Wu, who was always able in all 5 of the previous films, pass the responsibility off to others, be the one responsible, directly, for a thing and see the full force of that hit him in the face. And it breaks him. He is broken this entire movie. He is joyless. His shoulders are always slumped like he's got the weight of everything on him. His voice. Everything. And to see him so desperate to set it right... to see him finally in the end do it. It was a good solid arc for him.
  • Dodgson in this movie was Andrew Garfield’s dad in the Marc Webb Spider Man movies, just like Mr. Masrani, who was in the car on the bridge in TASM1. John Schwartzman, also did the cinematography on TASM1 and Jurassic World.
  • 15:52 I really like the throw back when Ian is waving the flaming locust around and how it parallels the moment in Jurassic Park one when hes trying to distract the T-Rex with the flare but he doesn't know how to do it properly so it chases him. He figured it out by now.
  • It seems no one can watch a movie or show these days without trashing it and the people that like them on the internet, so this channel is a breath of fresh air and it’s so nice to have positivity added to the discourse for a change.
  • 4:23 Alan offering Ellie a beer is a cheeky book reference. At the start of the novel when we get Alan & Ellie’s introduction, Alan tells a visitor investigating InGen that the site measures time in beer. They finished like several creates by the time the guy shows up & Alan even offers the guy a beer.
  • 1:36 Actually Battle at Big Rock was not a deleted scene. It was always intended to be a short film released between the movies. Notice the cameras used don’t quite match the film quality as Fallen Kingdom and Dominion. But that being said, I would kill for a version of Dominion that had Battle at Big Rock in it. Definitely as a replacement for the Now This News intro we got.
  • “FORGET THE HAT!” Does everyone remember that he forgets the hat in 1993, but not in 2001. “I rescued your hat.”

Therizinosaurus is my favorite dino, so seeing them finally get a moment to shine was awesome!
  • The one thing no one will ever be able to deny about these movies is that they look gorgeous

0:55 this scene with the Oviraptor felt like a hommage to Disney's 'Dinosaur'. Whether I'm right or wrong I appreciated it GREATLY
  • @domain2genus
Just to be clear, Quetzalcoatlus is not a bird. It's not any kind of dinosaur. Pterosaurs and dinosaurs are part of the same higher group called archosaurs though, and that group also includes modern crocodiles.
  • "I'll clap like a seal because I have a soul" is my new favourite line from now on!! I absolutely LOVE your work CinemaWins!! Please always keep up that positive attitude, it's soooo joyous to watch and hear!!!

I still love the fact that Grant has kicked a dino in the face in every movie he's in 😂. Plus, I love all the Camp Cretaceous references.
