No one tells you the long list of symptoms you’re going to have not only physically, but also mentally. It’s a great shame it’s treated as such a secret and rarely discussed in families.

Brain fog, weight gain and sweats but also the ignorance of others especially at work .

i have been going through all these things as a 60 year old single female. doing a devotional/ meditation each morning like the 23rd Psalm and it gives me strength and perspective.❤

I’m having perimenopause and the night sweats and nightmares are frightening sometimes
  • I was so touched by Penny’s reaction to what she’s been through and for the tender way in which she shared her experience with us - thank you ❤
  • Yep; stress, lack of confidence, lack of sleep, weight gain, internal combustion of heat..no sweats ...but the brain fog !! Quick to temper was horrible , for everyone 🤦‍♀️ However, Hrt oral + then patches have been a great help !! It's a case of asking for support from anyone + everyone tbh...GP, hubby, kids, work too !! It will get easier 🤗

EARLY? WE SHOULD HAVE TALKED ABOUT THE MENOPAUSE THIRTY YEARS AGO ALREADY!!!!
  • I’m almost into menopause here in the states and just recently like a week and a half have had such crazy anxiety and depression (something I struggled with throughout my entire life) and it’s been awful. I don’t want to do anything with myself and I feel bad about everything of where I am at in my life. I’ve lost interest and I am very alone. I don’t even know what the point is. How frustrating that I am dealing with these feelings all over again in my life at 52 yrs old. And I have searched everywhere and can’t believe that there are no supports groups for menopausal women near me. It’s very very frustrating.
  • Hello ladies, 55 here. For me is not being so bad. I take good care of myself and I am more active than ever so don't overworry. In my case no depression, some sweat and hot flashes, but other than that happier than ever. I am divorced, no kids. I like my job, I study and make art, I have a good life. It is not the same for everyone!
