Ten years ago 276 Nigerian school girls were abducted by Islamist group by Boko Haram from their school in Chibok, a town in the north-east of Nigeria. The kidnap caused international uproar and sparked a nation-wide campaign. But it would be two years before the first girl managed to escape. She and the others who followed were promised support to re-build their lives. A decade later, with kidnappings once again on the rise in Nigeria, Yemisi Adegoke discovers what happened to the Chibok girls.

How is he a kidnapper but now a military man without any punishment??? Nigeria is a joke
  • Nigeria as a country is a joke and horror story. Repentant Boko Haram members have been rewarded with integration into the society, govt jobs and taxpayer allowance, while their victims have been held in captivity in deplorable conditions & not allowed to reintegrate. How can this make sense???

Poor girls! Stuck in the middle of these horrible so-called "grown-ups"!!😔
  • @ImCloudschild
They probably will never tell what really happened to them or they will be ostracized. I pray the rest of their lives are blessed.
  • @SKEPSEA
Nigeria is something else. Our government knows what they are doing, and they know about all this.

Amina is a beautiful person. I pray she gets the help she needs. She is a survivor. I'm proud of her. She has to put her own recovery aside to take of the child that was forced on her. Only God knows what she has gone through. There should be a go fund me to help. I will personally donate to this course. I'm so tired of watching my people in misery.

What is the goverment doing? They can not protect children from Boko haram but They can put in prison a woman who complained about a Canned tomatoepaste! She has 3 children, what about them? What about all These kidnapped girls? Who can protect them if not the goverment! In Nigeria is a hell on the earth! What about the rich people of Nigeria? Where is the money from?
  • It's unfortunate how some radicals ride on the back of religion to commit heinous crimes . This is heartbreaking
  • Thank you. One thing I know is if those children were children of one of the leaders... they would have been back.

Imagine preferring to be with bokoharam than Nigerian government. That’s how much rot we have in our system.
  • The exboko now in government employment should be made to show where missing school girls are.
  • Wait I thought they were rescue? How the hell can the government not be able to track them down or are they that incompetent?
  • @Goldniz
Nigerian govt is disgusting for the way they handled the whole situation. Shame on them !

And amina is such a pure soul, i wish her all the best with her daughter. we are schoolset mates(2014) because his happened during the time we where to take our WEAC(2014) examinations. This really made me feel sad
  • That terrorist supposed be in jail like this but the case is different... Bokoharam is a Nigerian politician oil well and they can't stop funding it.
  • Atiku Abubakr who's the owner of AUN should be questioned over the 450 million naira × 6 years = 2.7 billion naira chibok school girls paid for in his institution.
