Relationships in the Philippines/The Pay for Play Girlfriend

Who are you kidding . . . Isn’t Baby Mae a “pay for play” girl who just gas a permanent “Boy Toy” instead of a temporary one!

I'm a filipino guy from the USA. In LA. Most successful Filipino women want nothing to do with Filipino guys past friends who treat them out. I just take it as part of life in LA. Thank god I live here now in Manila. I have fewer experiences like that here. I hope your brown friend doesn't give up. It's just a numbers game. When I lived in LA, at least I had a high status job that paid well in the entertainment industry and had a nice house in the Hollywood hills. That gave me better luck than most of my Filipino short king brothers. I'm glad you told this story and didn't sugar coat it.

Women want security.. No money no honey !

Here in Thailand there's a similar dynamic around status . My Thai GF of six years has done well bc of my support. But her personal wealth has taken off in the past three years because she's been frugal with the money I give her (she works for me) and she's invested her money in property, livestock and crops. On her own she has accumulated some impressive wealth by Thai standards. But she portrays her good fortune as 100% related to me, even though that is not really the case. Having the appearance of a foreigner BF that provides the status symbols gets more social value than her successful entrepreneurship.

I am a 66 year old average looking white expat Canadian, married to a beautiful young Filipina, living in the provinces of Cebu for the last three years. I completely agree Paul. Sometimes when I/we are in public, I feel like a piece of meat, lol! My wife understands, and she also trusts me that I can see right through it. I, myself feel like the luckiest man in the world to be so desirable, and yet have a beautiful Filipina as my lifetime partner.

His story has not been mine at all. I'm an Asian American from NYC, look Filipino. I've been living in Manila for 2 months and have had no problem at all. In fact I literally don't have time for these women. I think your friend simply has no game/ charisma, or he's in the wrong city. The idea that Filipinas want nothing to do with a Filipino looking man doesn't make much sense when you consider that the majority of filipinas end up marrying and having kids with Filipino men

Pay for play is cheaper than divorce......But Life is all pay for play ....marriage, girlfriends or one night stands ......as a man you will pay in the long run ...and marriage is the most expensive road to go down.......marriage is financial suicide...

My Thai wife says she thinks your friend would do well in Thailand. She says Thai women are more willing to overlook physical characteristics if a person has money, “and who wouldn’t want to go to Australia?” I was thinking the same thing, really. Good luck!
