Truck Doesn't Know What To Do, Street Running Train Coming! Train Runs Stop Sign, Knocks Down Signal

CSX intermodal train comes through LaGrange northbound. It runs the stop sign, knocks down the signal and takes the siding to wait for a second train to pass. No, the trains don't have to stop at that stop sign and knocking down the signal is just railroad jargon. It just means that the signal went to red after the train passed it. This train went all the way to the north end switch at the LaGrange Yard and waited for a huge southbound train to pass.
The southbound train was a BIG train with 2 DPU locomotives mid train. Check out the awesome view that I got of it approaching in front of the courthouse. By the way, I also show the courthouse. It was moved slightly and had additions put on both sides. We take a close look all around the construction site.
The 3rd street runner train is an auto racks train heading northbound at night. A truck pulled up just before the train came and parked very close to the track. It had to be close because a construction zone fence takes up part of the road. People can be seen running across the track with the train coming. They went to the truck. I filmed the track crossing the main intersection in town since that is where the town has the most light.
Don't miss the dogs at the end and check out the slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Happy Veterans Day! Also, happy birthday to @DADDYD4DESTROYERRR! His birthday was yesterday
-
A salute to all the Veterans. Thank-You!!
-
The train going down the middle of the street certainly adds a size of train equipment and their load "perspective" to the video.
-
I myself an not a veteran, but I do stand with them regardless. Thanks for the sacrifice and all.

I would like to start with this: we live in the Netherlands. And viewing Jaw Tooth's videos nearly every day. I was touched by the comments on Happy Veterans Day. Thank you all. It took ages before Veterans Day was introduced overhere. Just as late as 2005. My dear father was a soldier for a very long time. Served from 1935 till 1976. From East Asia to Germany and the Netherlands. He passed 1983. Thanks for reading.

Those articulated flat/well cars … wow!

Good Saturday morning JT. Have a good weekend.

🤣goodmorning JT.😅

Mornin'! Let's start the video, son.

We vacationed in Ky. in Lexington back in June of 2022 and we really enjoyed it. I regret not doing a day in LaGrange after watching your various videos which are always top notch. Thanks JT.
-
Salute to the veterans. Sometimes they run military trains through LaGrange. It's never a dull moment.
-
To Veterans past, present and future, you have my heartfelt thanks and respect for your time in service. Great trains JT!! That long one with the DPU's was great! Watching you in LaGrange is one of my favorite places to see. Until next time!!

Did anyone else notice the white autorack on the 2nd train at the 20:53 mark, with the "Hourglass" road name, that had the roof wadded up about half way back the car? It was obviously pulled half way through too low a clearance somewhere. That was quite the mixed manifest on that train, too. Good stuff as always, JT, I love watching them roll through LaGrange. Thanks.

Great Video!

Awesome video with 2 dpu working hard but wait there’s more 👍😎🇺🇸🚂👍

Nice video. On articulated well cars, one end will be the A, the other end will be the B. A five pack will have the C, D and E in the middle. A three pack will have the C in the middle, etc. The B end is the brake end. They are counted differently for brakes. A five pack, for example, is considered three brakes for braking purposes. This also determines which and how many brakes you are allowed to cut-out when you have articulated cars due to some kind of braking problem on the line of road. Single cars are easy to count for braking purposes, but the rules are different for multi-unit cars, like well cars. Once again, a great video, as always.

What a great video! To stand in the street or even sit outside having a coffee while a train like that trundle by is fantastic. Wonderful stuff JT!
-
Hey JT: excellent video! Couldn't believe the train with the railcars that looked like double-long were only one car each! Amazing!.. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend. 👍

I love street-running railfan videos. It amazes me how people keep challenging (playing chicken) with trains as if a train can swerve at the last minute. They must be sitting on their brains. Thanks for another great video.

I am in Western Australia and in the north they have iron ore trains 3.5 km long with numerous assisters along the length to reduce the risk of break offs. The longest train was 7.2km I think but not sure what year, but that world record may have been beaten by now. I used to drive hi-rails (trucks with rail and road wheels) for a while. Thanks for the video.
