Composer Ron Wasserman is known for writing iconic theme songs for shows like X-Men: The Animated Series and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as scores for shows like Dragon Ball Z. However, there's a dark side in the legacy of "Go Go Power Rangers" and Haim Saban's actions in production of the show.

Here, Ron talks about how he got the gig and what he thinks of how he was hidden from public view for years and how he feels now that the internet has revealed him as the true composer of the iconic theme song.

Ron's idea for the movie was entirely what I wanted over what we were given.
  • This man is responsible for my first ever favourite song. As a kid I got hyper for the song and as an adult I still go gorillas for it

Wish Ron could interact more in instagram and share more of his work. Great interview guys.

The music was a huge part of my obsession for MMPR growing up (and shows like X-Men)... I probably have this man to thank for me picking up a guitar and later on getting into recording. Funny because he did the “guitar” bits on a keyboard! You’re the man, Ron.

This was an awesome video!! :O I never realized how much was happening behind the scenes! Kinda sad. I'd have loved a bigger moment in the 2017 movie for his music. Also, if you guys ever get the chance to talk to him again, can you ask about the video game "Battle for the Grid"? His classic vocal songs are the only thing truly missing from that game that otherwise celebrates everything in the series' history...

To think I was watching the Caravan of Garbage segment on another YTChannel about the Mortal Kombat movie, then I started being curious about the Mortal Kombat theme, then about the orginal MK commercial, then I saw some comments about the dude who made the MK yelling, and then I finally found this channel... so much weird stuff happens in life :0

6:04 " I cannot remember if there was any footage" There should have been, Saban basically just took scenes from a better show from the year before. The show was basically done, all the good parts were filmed by more competent people in Japan.
