Excellent tour David and Katya. A great insight into a ship that I had not come across before. Thank you

Im guessing this is pre the refurbishment in 2019? It looks a little different now I think

Thanks very much for this video. I now know when the time comes for me to book a similar trip, I will chose a different ship. One that's newer and bigger. The cabins are just too small and clautrophobic for me - it reminds me of the cross channel ferry, which I suppose this is just that; a ferry and not a cruise ship. I am sure it is comfortable enough for a couple of nights, but for 12 to 15 days... hmmmm.... The public spaces look a little spartan, too. BTW, the painting in the last cabin is by a Danish painter who was based in Skagen, which is the top of Jutland, in the 19th century. Skagen is as far away from the Norwegian fjords as you can get, but magical all the same.
  • Tusen takk for turen. The Vesterålen is larger and more interesting than I would have thought, given that most guides only say how small it is compared to the newer ships. You mention some rough January weather. Bow-out-of-the-water rough?
