  • Good video, keep learning, and keep up the good work. Adam, there is NO REASON to not load all 7 chambers at all times in this modern revolver. It has a transfer bar safety. IT IS DROP SAFE. If dropped, or if the hammer were to get struck somehow. You are NOT going to have an accidental discharge. You should research and you will learn about transfer bar safeties in modern revolvers. I love my Charter Arms Revolvers.
  • Never ceases to amaze me how people get so caught up in looks. Its a tool, its a hammer who gives a dam if it has a scratch or a blemish, does it fire when i pull the trigger and go where i'm aming thats all that matters.

The idea of carrying no round hammer down is this gun has a firing pin block and it does not allow the block to move until the trigger is over 3/4 engaged. It cannot fire by dropping or hitting the hammer with a hammer. The only way the gun will fire is by pulling the trigger. Not carrying the seventh round negates the purpose.
  • Charter Arms is not a knock off of a S&W. They were made by a former Ruger employee so they have similar features as a Ruger. They don't have a side plate and came out with the transfer bar first. S&W doesn't use a transfer bar. Thanks for reviewing this gun.

FYI: You can safely carry this Revolver with all 7 chambers loaded, as it has a Transfer Bar safety system. Unless you have the trigger pulled the hammer will never hit the firing pin.
  • Great job I like this gun ammo is hard to find but im a fan of any 32 cal guns

Thank you for posting this video. Not many about this revolver. I am picking one up tomorrow.
  • I really want a Ruger GP100 in 327 Federal Magnum. Being able to shoot all shorter 32 caliber cartridges is a real plus.
  • @ftdefiance1
As a Police Officer I was issued a holster that didn't cover the trigger guard. Given the stout thumb strap it didn't concern me in the least.
  • I can't understand why they chamber it in 327 mag. You could still shoot 32 HR mag if you want.
  • @Gieszkanne
Hopefully .32 became more popular. Its a much better caliber for small light weight revolvers.
  • @twoton
You can load all the chambers on modern transfer bar revolvers. It is hammer "drop" safe. Also, I agree THAT particular holster is not safe to carry with.
  • It's D/A brother. It's NOT a SA gun Man. Leaving the chamber under the hammer empty is %100 pointless. You only have 6 rounds Anyway, don't make it worse. DA revolvers have hammer block and transfer bar safetys. The firing pin can NOT touch the round underneath unless the trigger is fully pulled to the rear, which disengages its saftys so it CAN go off
  • Love mine and it is great seeing the professional get more coverage. I have shot several hundred rounds out of mine and had no problems. This includes s&w shorts, longs, acp, and h&r magnums. This little we guy has comfortably and accurately shot them all. Even elections have been smooth on the smaller cases.

You are lucky to find 32 H&R ammo or any 32 for that matter.

I have the Professional V 357 and love it. Nice groups at 10 yards. Swapped out the wood grips for Charter Arm rubber combat grips. So much better. Kick with medium loads not bad at all. Have a K frame 1791 holster and it fits perfectly.
