I was not aware of Fire Charges giving an added blast radius. Definitely going to use that for my next firework rockets. I like adding Gold Nuggets into mine as well for the aesthetic effect. Also, an Iron farm is a great source of Red Dye from the Poppies that drop from it. Much easier than scavenging bones from Soul Sand Valleys to Bonemeal flowers. You can even turn excess Poppies into Bonemeal if you want more color variety from the flowers.

Due to how damage works on Minecraft (Java), adding Multishot doesn't increase damage but increases damage area. The thing is that when one firework hits you, you enter into the red damage animation, which actually are invulnerability frames that last 0.5 seconds, so you're not receiving extra damage from the other 2 fireworks. The only way you can add more damage while being in the red animation is receiving damage greater than the first one, and in that case it doesn't stack, it overwrites the smaller one lol Still kinda deadly having 9 crossbows against people without the correct armor set

You seem knowledgeable, and I like how you didn’t try to make this into a 10 min video. Subscribed

Disclaimer: Only works for Java. For Bedrock: Use arrows of instant damage.
  • This is a pretty viable alternative for TNT cannons for anti-personnel warfare. Requires less scarce materials to craft, and can be used to complement potions for fighting elite players with good armor. Firework rockets this powerful can also be effective in aerial combat if players know how to aim the rockets properly at others using elytras.

I knew this ages ago. I use it as my main weapon in late game when i have some farms providing me decent amount of meterials for fireworks so i can spam rapidly without worrying. super fun and powerful trust me, totally life changing

Great video. I never used crossbows before because I didn’t know the rockets did additional damage. I thought it just looked cool. Normal power 5 bows are generally better in my opinion, but this changes that! I’ll for sure have to try this out.

I never know that fireworks on java explodes on impact. In bedrock/PE, it doesn't explode instantly but rather slides on blocks until it explodes naturally. I shoot mostly on the corner of blocks so it would'nt travel far away.

"Peacetime" application of this technology: Fishing. Practice your aim, and shoot schools of fish. One detonation can take out three, four, sometimes five of the little mobs, which then conveniently float to the surface. One single warhead is plenty for this. It's also a good early-game answer to drowned carrying tridents, since it has much longer range, and you can often scrounge used crossbows from illager patrols even before you've got decent amounts of iron.

In my experience and testing on Java Edition, the fire charge (larger ball) DOES NOT increase the blast radius. Just like all of the other firework shape modifiers (golden nugget, feather, creeper head, etc), the larger ball is purely cosmetic. I would also like to mention that 7 firework stars isn't enough to one-shot any common hostile mob— even spiders, which are left at 1 health. The only mob a 7-star can one-shot is a cave spider, and even then, a 5-star rocket will still do the trick. If you're only going to be using a firework launcher against mobs, I recommend 4--star rockets, as they can still 2-shot basically every common hostile mob.
  • Wow. This was an insanely well-made video. Excellent presentation, great speaking voice, no bs introduction or sponsorship. Loved it- thanks man!

Hot bar (left to right) 1) food 2) pickaxe 3)torches 4-9) crossbows Food to eat on hand is good, and the pickaxe and torches are next to each other so when you go mining you can easily swap between the two. When placing torches in a cave, you might stumble across an enemy or two, so immediately swap to your crossbow. If the target has the audacity to still be alive, swap to the next crossbow and continue the barrage until they are very much dead.

1:04 I didn't know that was a thing. My automatic skeleton farm got soo much more useful

“Oooo! I wanna try this!” (Jumps onto bedrock edition) “Die SHEEP!” (Firework flies through the sheep and explodes far away) “Awww”

Wow! I didn't know that you could weaponize fireworks like this. This could be extremely useful in The Nether! Excellent guide.

Just a small warning: Shooting an arrow takes 1 durability point from the crossbow, fireworks take 3, and with multishot the 3 fireworks would take 9 damage to the crossbow so you would only be able to shoot around 30 times before the crossbow broke, with Unbreaking III it reduces to 2 item damage but still it's pretty hard

This is actually something that I figured out myself, completely independently, a few years ago, and I'm actually really proud of that. I loved messing and tinkering with firework stars, giving them different colors and stacking them into a single firework, and my surprise when I found out multiple firework stars stacked in a single rocket was very much shocking. Also, crossbows are my favorite weapons in the game, so my surprise was even greater, because this makes them one of the strongest weapons in the game.

I wonder effective this would be in a survival fight with the dragon or wither.
