Happy you found Rush! Welcome to the rabbit hole!☺️

RUSH is definately a band to watch live and when Geddy was asked in an interview he himself said watch live❤🇨🇦
  • Rush is amazing. Live in concert. Best concerts I ever saw. We’re by rush. I would marry anyone of them. I fell in love in 82 and I still love them.

"It takes a little more persistance to get up and go the distance." - words to live by. Neil battled his own fears and anxieties stemming from a near-drowning incident at the age of 10, which came to a head as they were wrapping up the North American leg of the Grace Under Pressure Tour, as Geddy described on page 332 of his book My Effin Life. If you'd like to hear more about what Neil dealt with, I'd like to recommend the song Limelight, whose official music video was filmed as they were recording it. Rest in peace Professor. 🥁 🥁 🐐 🐐

My favorite Jewish good boy from Toronto Canada and wails like crazy on the bass

This is one of many Rush song where you have to wonder how in the hell Geddy played that verse bass line while singing at the same time. The bass riff is on a completely different rhythm from the vocal melody,,, and he makes it look effortless. This entire band is just unbelievable, especially live. I seen them 32 times starting with Permanent Waves in 1980. They were a completely different concept experience than the average concert. All three are so good that it was hard to know which one to watch at any given time?
  • Grace Under Pressure is a PHENOMENAL album! Every song a winner! 😎✨

I was a junior in high school and saw this tour 2 nights in a row in Chicago at the Rosemont Horizon….a great time to be 17

Yes, another banger song by them. The fear series is 🔥 Our worst enemy is always ourselves. I would have never known English is not your first language. You speak it very well. As you mentioned Tool, Rush was a big influence on them. For most songs I would go with a live performance for most part. Having the lyrics up is a great idea as Neil's lyrics are usually quite deep. You are going to be amazed by Xanadu when you get to it. Cheers 🇨🇦 ❤

Oh, man! Xanadu will absolutely blow your mind! The Exit...Stage Left performance is the quintessential version of that song.

One of the greatest three piece bands of the 20th century! Now The Warning will be the greatest three-piece band of the 21st century

Yeah Rush rabbit whole...I'm 61 now, I've been and still am a music lover... never found something like Rush. I was a big fan by the end of the 70's and early 80's, they were so surprising, 1 album a year each one was an exploration. Between 1978 to 1984 the change was constant and their music evolved staying complex, energetic, positive... it was just awesome. For some though guys their music was for nerds...Rush was never trash or never had a "destroy vibe" like some though bands did. They just focused on creativity and hard work while having fun. I just read the last book Neil P wrote...what an humble and brilliant man (RIP). I know you saw "The Weapon" studio version, but the 1984 Live version in TO was remastered and really worth a listen. Have fun !

Grace Under Pressure was the first Rush album I listened to and still one of my favourites. I can still remember where I was when I heard the first track from it and I became an instant fan.
