My sister works for EZ Pass. I just got off the phone with her. She told me it’s diesel and fuel all in the water. one of the contract companies they have was doing some routine maintenance on the bridge when it collapsed and so far they have found 7 cars underwater

That guy that refused medical treatment, I understand, you're life was just in crisis, but still not paying that medical bill.

Anything to fill up time with people that don't know anything.

Sounds like a series of either errors (between pilot and captain) or contributing mechanical failure … sorry for lost lives and prayers for the rescue workers

I live in Maryland and a couple of yrs ago I had a friend give me a ride to go buy a truck from someone who lived in Edgemere. So I drove over the Key bridge twice, once to get there and then back. I remember then thinking how scary it would be if it ever collapsed - a thought I quickly dismissed because "there's no way that could ever happen"😳

the ship lost power 2 times while in Port but they went out anyway
  • Youtube channel WhatAboutShipping covers this so much better. This is theatric pedantic nonsense.

Am very shocked with the marvels of engineering how such a profoundly devastating collapse could happen from a single pillar, surely a staggering of pillars side to side or something mighr have saved this level of devastation to the structure? So very tragic, it must be terrifying for everyone, my sympathies.

I've seen reports that the ship lost power as it was leaving the port, if that's the case was this ship even sea worthy? Condolences to the families of any who were lost.

Everyone can worry about the bridge later with all the lies and rumors. Let's send prayers to everyone still missing and their families. Don't forget to pray for all the members doing their job to find everyone and also all the volunteers. This can't be easy with the water temperature and the air temperature working in and around the water. Prayers for all the air support too. God bless everyone may they find everyone safety.

Those container ships are scary, we had one from Korea hit one of our bridges out here in the Bay Area of California and it took a giant chunk out of the concrete and it started leaking its bunker fuel, so I'm not surprised the tiny pontoon or whatever they call it on this bridge folded like a cheap card table. Glad it happen around 1am, hope they can come up with a way to protect the NEXT bridge they build to replace this one.
