Seeing actual ballroom celebrity on this stage has been LONG overdue. I loved seeing Kevin Jz Prodigy he is so instrumental and iconic. I just wish they gave more care into this showcase. The budget was lacking here but the performers will always make it worth while. BET needs to show up more for these communities.

People in that audience are so pressed but without the ballroom community, half of the things we see today in modern culture is because of them! This had me jumping and screaming - I just wish Leiomy was there 😭 but none the less, they gave!!!! Respect always to the ballroom community for giving so much to the world.

Being black and lgbtqia is very much so apart of our collective black experiences. You always had a cousin uncle or aunt apart of the community but never acknowledged them. Just saw them. So awesome!

Even if you don’t typically support these people. There is something special about BET letting the MOST marginalized members of the black community perform. Dominque Jackson said it best “we ARE part of the black community we grow up watching BET just like the rest of y’all and we deserve to be here and be SEEN.” 🔥
