Those poor, unfortunate souls! Go ahead, make your choice! Rest in Heaven, Pat Carroll.
  • Really hate the older stars i like are passing away sadly. First Sondheim, Betty,Gilbert, & now Pat. This is very sad but i am happy that her work as all the other talents of other great people still lives on.πŸ₯°β€πŸ₯Ί

Funny lady Pat Carroll. Rest In Peace.

There is a fantastic interview with Pat from the Pioneers of Television. Even at her advanced age, she was still witty and insightful. Thanks for all the laughs you gave us!
  • I wouldn't have matched either - I thought clucked. I just looked up Pat's career and she was working up until two years ago. Over the last ten years or so it was less but still consistent enough. Amazing to be doing so until 93 years old. Clearly still loved her work.

Pat now joins Gene Rayburn, Johnny Olson, and her fellow panelists on this episode who have since passed, except for Jo Ann Pflug, who is now in her 80s. I was probably in the studio for this taping. As a teenager living in L.A., I used to attend game show tapings at CBS Television City frequently during the 1970s and 80s.
  • I cannot believe this old lady was still alive! I've always thought that someone else that sounds just like her would give the ole sea witch from Little Mermaid her remembered voice. Rest in Peace, Pat. You've passed the test, now somebody else is gonna do it for ya. 😒

Didn't know she was on Match Game. She lived a good number of years. Like many I remember her from The Little Mermaid. She was so sassy and seeing her here confirms it. Thank you for this video clip.

2:39 notice the ash tray. It was a different place and time, that's for sure!
