Ippei was not just an "interpreter" he was Ohtani's personal assistant, driver, caretaker, perhaps he had a huge influence in Ohtani's life in the US and perhaps became one of close friends role too.

This fast-talking podcast guy knows nothing about Shohei. Shohei would never do gambling. He hates gambling like any other ordinary Japanese. I think this podcast guy holds a grudge against Shohei.

Ippei is a known liar. I believe that Ippei lied the whole story. Ohtani is innocent
  • @lovethieves1383
Angels mentioned that Ohtani didn't gamble but Ippei was a degenerate.

It was the interpreter who said he paid the bets. No one else "in Ohtani's camp" said he paid the bets.

Why didn't ESPN interview Shohei Ohtani in the first place? Money was sent from his account. Why did ESPN interview Ippei Mizuhara instead of Ohtani? This was a big mistake, which allowed him to tell lies and create a huge mess.
  • Ohtani had absolutely no reason to pay off his interpreter's debt. He's smart enough to know that doing so could get himself into serious trouble. The interpreter had access to the bank account either because he'd helped Ohtani open it in the first place or because he had the password and everything he needed to access it. The Japanese trust one another far more than the Americans do. Besides, who'd imagine someone very close to you and with a high income would steal your money for illegal gambling?
  • If politicians can play in the stock market, athletes should be able to play in the gambling market 😂

Ohtani has been subjected to media harassment every day. Once he is clearly found not guilty, you guys need to apologize. Reports in Japan have already revealed how the money can be transferred.

Don’t go by the US standards.
  • @golfgrouch
Brad Mielke did not explain the timeline of events accurately.
  • Americans think Ohtani is guilty because they understand neither the Japanese language nor Japan's culture. Generally speaking, the Japanese are very honest and Ohtani is very honest. You can tell if you hear him speak in Japanese. The Pearl Harbor attack was really engineered by the US. Read the book "Day of Deceit". It explains everything.

I want Ohtani to concentrate on baseball and do his best in his game although some blame him due to their envying his talent.

The worst case scenario to this scandal would be Ohtani covered Ippei's debts. Let's give in 100 yards and hypothetically assume Shohei gambled, why would he wire money under his name to an illegal bookmaker??? He's not that dumb, capisci?
  • @sssssssssn
Ohtani is just not the type of person who would get into gambling
  • @j1972w
    The facts will come out.
  • @mueda19
That’s not abnormal for being private about marriage, especially someone from Japan Yuzuru Hanyu got divorced because the media got crazy so better to be private
  • I reading what people are saying but really the only two people who knows the real truth here are those two. Looks can be deceiving and the truth will be known when the investigation is done. Someone other than the interpreter knows about this. That is a lot of money from his account. I hope Ohtani did not know about this. I have not seen him play but what I have heard it's all good. I hope all goes well for him.
