In Ancient Greece The home of Democracy, All representatives were financially audited before and after their time in public office. If they were found to have made personal gain through their time in office, They were Executed. Nowadays it seems its easier than ever for someone without Morals to get in on the grift. No punishment whatsoever, He'll keep his Pension, and all the benefits that come with being a MP here in NZ regardless of your performance. In this case, If Mr. Macleod did make a simple mistake, His party would be standing beside him as they have with others. To be booted from National you Really need to screw up in a way that's obviously deliberate and malicious- Looking forward to the Enquiry. Whole thing needs a shakeup.
