Great results. Excellent deer and even elk bullets. Thank you.

Good video. Enjoyed it.

IMO I believe the Speer Hot-Core and Grand Slam bullets are the most underrated hunting bullets out there. Better than Hornady Interlock and way cheaper than Nosler.
-
Informative and interesting video as always. Those loads are definitely great for medium game. I normally get lower velocities than Hornady and Sierra with the same powder charge, but those results are hard to argue with

Love your reviews!

My Dad used to load the Spear hot cores & the Mag tips available back in the 80's to max velocity with 4831 powder. It made fantastic wound channels in deer. I’ve killed many deer with the 7mm Mag and had the same experience with factory standard Federal ammo and especially well with Federal Premium loaded with Nosler Partitions. On paper the 7mm Mag doesn’t look like it’s much better than a 308 or 30-06. In practice it creates a larger wound due to more velocity and the drop is significantly less at longer ranges

Good video thank you. I love those hot core bullets they are awesome. And you got another sub.

Great vid on some older but deadly bullets. Penetration was quite good and the retained weight means a lot of wounding shrapnel shed during the penetration. And the bc on the 160 is around .500 which means it retains its velocity at longer ranges. All in all, hard to argue these are anything but superb.
-
They are 68% and 66% respectively in percentage of retained weight. With percentage of weight being virtually identical the 160 will be opening a large wound channel in real game because a greater amount of lead is shed in grains of bullet to create trauma and it is still penetrating deeper. Both bullets performed very well.
-
You would presume the faster bullet will expand faster and have a bigger cavity. Personally I think the 160 grain bullet is still the better choice for the cartridge. Less excess destruction potential on deer and better overall penetration on elk, moose, bear, size/density game animals.

Thxs for vid i was wondering how the 160s would hold up in my 7wsm looks good enough to kill a deer and cant beat their price
-
Very nice. I have some 145 grain to load for my son's 7mm-08 and i have some 150 grain i load for my 270 win
-
Please try grand slam bullets from Speer if you can? Great video👍.

Good experimental video ,but leave off the " tough guy bs " at the start.
