Just an update: A hotfix just dropped, including fixes to potentially the audio issues I mentioned in this video and a FOV slider which will improve the experience drastically. From my observations the devs seem very open to feedback. What they wrote precisely about fixes: Added FOV Slider to Gameplay Settings (sorry about that) Added native Fullscreen Display Mode Added option to completely turn off Upscaling Added option to minimize Head Bobbing Adjusted default options to reduce blurriness on large monitors Environment is now re-randomized every time “Retry Mission” is selected Fixed loud audio stuttering when Windows had Spatial Audio turned on Fixed bug causing permanent Incapacitation from some explosions Fixed bug causing “Start Sighted” option to be ignored for some clients 9 other crash and compatibility bug fixes They commonly send updates like this on their twitter: twitter.com/SixDaysGame

"AI make really dumb decisions sometimes, they'll run out in the middle of cover just to spray their PKM from the hip" Pretty realistic based off war footage I've seen
  • @LiteStranger
I love the Echo it makes whenever you use voice chat inside of a building. Really adds a lot to the atmosphere
  • @Obamos04
You know what woud be crazy? 16 player lobbies, but every squad has a different objektive on the same map and now you need to check if the people you shot are friend or foe
  • @laneweatherbee2232
The buildings that actually look like their lived in get a big thumbs up for me. Nothing kills the immersion faster than a village full of houses that look like nobody ever lived there.
  • @THEMilkSHAIKH
We are living in a time were vets get to play video games about the wars they fought in.
  • @JohnDoe-wt9ek
The AI is actually doing precisely what many have reported from Iraq. Which is being unpredictable, lethal, and erratic.
  • @ant-alltime
The proximity chat is so well implemented it makes my bones tingle
  • @AwesomesauceME08
To add to your comment on AI being unpolished is actually what a lot of Iraq War veterans say they did. some combatants would be stealthy and take pop shots from an enclosed location while some would literally run wild with AKs not fearing death to just put rounds down range.
  • @plusrunning
I wish they had civilians in the houses your were clearing, because that was part of what made Fallujah such a difficult fight for us. The split second decision making when coming face to face with someone was hard to do...
  • @Bushido6.2
The game looks really good. I was there from 03'-05' and 08'-09' as a gunner and a TC on an Abrams. The only thing missing is the smell of sand, smoke, and exhaust fumes.
  • @Somegoy
The audio on this game is insane. The voice chat actually sounding like they are coming from people into the world, echoing, changing volumes and clarity if your in a different room. Incredible. If this could ever become a vr game I think it would break peoples brains
  • @alexaruda1947
Six Days is the most immersive experience I have ever been through. Its unreal with friends.
  • @UncleSam1732
The marines and special forces reacts videos on this game are gonna be fire
  • @dcnats92
What an insane environment. You can hear people talk about it, watch videos on it, but having to actually work your way through it in this game makes you appreciate what our boys and those poor civvies caught in the crossfire had to go through. Brutal AO

This may seem real to most people, because the graphics and the visual and audio representation is good. It’s nothing like it, though. First, when someone gets hit, it’s usually pretty serious, and that throws a wrench in things right there. You gotta do first aid, but that guy is probably out of the fight, and you gotta evacuate him. Second, you may clear a bunch of empty houses for a long time, expecting something around the corner, and nothings there. When it does happen, it surprises the hell out of you, and you’re never ready for that. It makes you jumpy as hell. And, when the shooting starts, it it lasts a lot longer, just at one place, because nobody really wants to die. Also, you’re covered from head to toe in long clothing, heavy gear, and uncomfortable shit, with earplugs in, so everything is muffled, and the loudest thing you can hear is your own breath and your pulse, banging against your helmet liner, which is baking your head like an oven. The highs and lows of adrenaline kicking in and wearing off repeatedly, saps your energy like a draining bath tub. Climbing one flight of stairs while pie-ing around the stairwell is physically exhausting. It would feel real if there was a physical simulator treadmill sort of thing, with the heat turned up in your room, and a piss and shit air freshener blowing at you, and you clear rooms for hours and then shoot one guy, and if he shoots you, the game is automatically over. But it’s just a game, and nobody would play if it was like that.

NGL, watching these videos of room clearing with just your basic M16A4 is almost too real for me. I remember how fucking frightening it was to stack up, have someone blast/bash the door open, and then we all funneled in. Especially since I was first or second man many times.

It's so crazy that the "minaret sniper" was actually a real event. Photographer was in a group and requested a photo of the sniper to send back in order to make a point of how bad the war has gotten (the team lead reluctantly agreed after first declining). While clearing the minaret, two marines were scaling the stairs, the first didn't notice and he walked into a barrel. The insurgent shot, killing the first, and the second marine engaged, ending the threat before retreating back downstairs. It took a while to go back up and retrieve the body of the fallen marine, but they did it before falling back. This happened right at the "end" of a day of intense firefighting across the city-- hence why the photographer wanted to take the picture. The photographer left the country immediately after and has made good with the family of the fallen soldier. There's a documentary covering this entire event. Edit: The documentary is PBS Frontline: Once upon a time in Iraq, Fallujah.

The medical equipment was Quick Clot and an Irseali bandage from what I could tell. This is crazy detailed. I am stunned. It's like I am back in Iraq
