An Extensive Guide for Garden Fertilizers: Soluble, Insoluble, Macro-Nutrients, Feeding Seedlings

Published 2018-02-04
This comprehensive guide will help you understand what the first and second tier garden macro-nutrients are: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P), Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Sulfur (S) and Magnesium (Mg). Perhaps more importantly, a key to success, is understanding what insoluble and soluble fertilizers are as they each have their place. And in the end I overly stress ... don't over feed your seedlings. You can over love them.

This is one of the creators who is genuinely making videos to purely help others not so much for income or attention. You can tell by the painstaking time he took to put those video chapters in the description, creators make more money the longer the audience retention (not skipping over) make sure you give him a like, it takes very little effort. -much appreciated content 🙏💯
  • @heinkristen1
I love that you really educate people on how things work and why. Thank you!
  • @user-wf9lp4mz6o
Thank you so much for breaking down the chemistry. I appreciate your unbiased opinions through your trial and error experimentation and observation. While I have been gardening successfully for over 15 years, I do however run into issues w/regards to chemistry where I am not too familiar with--so I am grateful for channels like yours that offers a wealth of information, which therefore allows me more choices of what I can and cannot do in my own trial and error experimentation in my garden. Your channel is a wealth of substantial information. I appreciate you.
  • @johnwood738
I keep fresh water aquariums ,when I do water changes I use that water on seedlings then in garden and other fertilizer if needed.
  • @bobjolly7795

  • @JamericaLife
Thank You I’m going to listen to this several times
  • @porkrollpiper
These long format lectures are excellent. Appreciate the effort, I can really use these.
  • @cobaltblue8363
Thank you Gary. 3 years later and it’s still making sense. My produce leaves, Coco we call it in the Islands is curling and I am drying banana peels now to add potassium. Also I have been saving peels from potatoes, carrots, and green bananas soaking them in water and pouring on my plants weekly and they always look lush within hrs after.
  • It's been a long winter in north Alabama. Really excited for a successful year of gardening. My 2nd year!!
  • @MorrowSind
Great presentation. This kind of reminds me of an elective college course. I love your videos. Keep up the great work.
  • I stayed up and watched several of your videos last night and was inspired! The video of your new garden with Calikim was fantastic. Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge.
  • Great information Gary. It took a while but I did watch it all. Thanks for the information. Best wishes Bob.
  • @evahaynes4438

  • You sir are a great educator and I thank you so much! I am going to watch your video many times but I think I want to take notes for fast access with my plants from now on (memory is not what it use to be). You really are a very BIG help to us all!!
  • Thank you so much for your videos! I can't tell you how much of a good reference they have been in expanding my experience and knowledge. I come back and rewatch time and again whenever I want to stretch my gardening legs so to speak.
  • A lot of information for gardeners!! Thank you so much for this video!!! I will fallow all your good advice. I learned a lot from you!
  • @mikefisc9989
Thank you Gary. I really enjoyed this video. I was wondering if you could put together a long format video on plant diseases and how to combat them using some of the techniques you've used over the years. Thanks again.
  • @terri8198
Thank you, Gary, for your great information. It is very appreciated by me. I have been growing vegetables and herbs for several decades. It's very difficult to do where I live. (in colorado) We have such ups and downs with the weather, I never know what to expect. I have great success gardening indoors, however, I don't really have a special room to use! I improvise and make it work though! Nothing beats harvesting what I worked so hard to produce!
