That must be an extremely humbling match for anyone that doesn't live and breath that style of shooting. I absolutely appreciate it. Thanks for the video

Before first NRL match: I'm the best After first NR match: I literally know nothing and am a total failure A year after first NRL match: I am now broke.

I felt the same way after my first PRS match. Like, hey, I'm pretty good at shooting and know my way around firearms like the back of my hand! Getting humbled is such a great catalyst for growth. Now I'm working on getting better at unusual shooting positions and learning how to read wind more accurately to get more first-shot hits. Welcome to the new addiction!

Great overview Kit and thanks for the honesty!
  • @DarthLepard
thanks for the honesty, I had the same humbling experience when I started in PRS. Once you lose the ego and then want to learn then is when it gets fun!!!

FYI in regards to the having your bipod down, you can drop the legs when you run up but you’re supposed to have the legs stowed when your time starts. But also shootin skills so it doesn’t matter. NRL Hunter is an outrageously humbling experience. I came from being a pretty mid pack PRS shooting and took a second and first place at local NRL Hunter Games matches at Cossa in Oregon. Got DESTROYED at my first two day match. Worst points I’ve ever put on the board in any match I’ve ever shot. I absolutely love the honest take on it! Good taking that production trophy yesterday at farm out btw, I thought you looked familiar.

Wow what an informative, transperant and honest video 💯

Nice! Good to hear Matt’s still getting after it too
  • Great stuff, super thoughtful! I'll be curious to get your take on the difference between Skills Division and the competitive Divisions.
  • @Z33Garage
My first PRS match with basically a stock Bergara b14 HMR wound up 44/48. So yeah I expected as much going in.

Isn’t there an NRL production class where you can use a factory built 6mm caliber?
  • @MJTORN
What grip do you have on your fix? It looks waaayy more comfortable than the Magpul one.
  • You seem like the kind of guy who will practice a lot, train hard, and avenge this one. It does sound like you learned a lot from this experience. 👍 — Jason/Freedom Fighter Until Death/Vermont, FRA (‘FRA’, meaning “The Failed Republic Of America”)

I'm scared from dropping a mag and trying to make a low probability shot, but for other reasons.
