In the Fallout games, the 'vault boy' bobbleheads grant specific attributes or skills. You will see her doubt herself throughout, but she perks back up when she sees the 'Vault Boy' mascot anywhere. She then continues her adventures as if it gave her a boost to press on.

"Is it your thumb or mine" is such a fucking haunting thing for a child to say, she delivered that so good holy shit

Nuke survival psa. If you see an explosion, do not jump into a body of water. Water actually amplifies concussive force.

The little girl in the opening of this is such a good actress. I did not expect to be so heart broken by just the expression on her face. She sold the terror of it so well.
  • Fun fact about the nuclear bombs in Fallout. They are designed different from modern nukes irl. According to the classic lore, these are designed to be less powerful in raw explosive force but instead focus on making the land more radioactive.

I’m pretty sure the gun that Lucy is using is called a Syringer, basically shoots random ass syringes at enemies.

the ghoul guy voices Cecil in Invincible and the woman who plays Lucy voices Jinx in Arcane

"Everything is going to be fine, Billy" Videos cuts to a guy getting his throat cut

This is probably one of the best nuke scenes in media. Idk why, but it really stuck with me

32:11 I don’t known if this was an intended game reference but using your companions for packmules is classic Fallout

To be fair, if most people track back their family tree about 200 years or so, there is often a common ancestor. They have been in the vault for 200+ years.
  • @corporealghoul
Damn guys. You called thw raiders. Yall smart as fuck. That was quick.

on ghoul with chicken thing. they were trying to see if he turned feral or still himself. if feral first instinct is lunge at something living and start chewing on it, so the chicken was bait. also the guy that lead that group to get the ghoul out of that coffin he plays bubba in forrest gump. on the feral thing: somne ppl when surviving extreme radiation exposure turn into ghouls which they are still themselves but now more resiliant to pain, radiation tolerance and pretty much dont age at all and live forever unless you kill them. feral ghouls are those that the radiation pretty much damages the brain and they turn well feral. but from newer fallout games even if survive the blast and mind intact eventually decay will set into the brain, so constant fear ghouls have is they will eventually turn feral but dont know when.

3:27 fun fact, if he jumped in the pool, he would be more likely to die from the pressure anyway, you would have to hope you dont get killed by the energy and pressure, and then hope that you are not close enough to where you just boil in the water

They are nailing it so far. You can really feel the dystopian atmosphere, and Walton Goggins is fantastic as the Ghoul. That impressive make up is all practical too. I can't wait for more.

Pretty much every vault is some social experiment, and I'm pretty sure vaults 31, 32 and 33 are connected as part of the experiment
  • @ythegamer7183
Love the show so far So many familiar actors too The black lady with the Afro who is in the vault 33 committee, is the blind woman from Deadpool btw
  • As someone who was a kid during the tail end of the cold war, atomic bombs were not a terribly difficult concept to grasp for a child.

That opening scene where the nukes drop might be one of the best openings to a TV show I've ever seen. I'm nearly 50 and I've seen shows come and go, some had amazing opening episodes or opening scenes - but this one, wow. And as a big fan of the games, it's just incredible. The entire series is amazing, and I wish we didn't have to wait probably 2+ years for a new season, if Amazon is smart enough to produce one.

Re: Bunker People. I looked into how many people we would need to have to have a safe population and avoid inbreeding (because I was looking at info for space colonies), and we'd need a minimum of 5,000 unrelated people /mated pairs starting out to have a safe population. With space colonization, we could probably start out with less so long as we planned to keep resupplying and adding new colonists. But if you're not getting new people in regularly, you need a population of 5,000. If you want to check an interesting real life case of a small population, native Icelanders are apparently closely related to about 50 percent of the population. They essentially have an app to help you avoid hooking up with your cousin, so that you can check that you're not too closely related.
