Ever wondered what it takes to capture nature's beauty in stunning 8K HDR quality? Join me and Mykhailo on this special creative nature filmmaking vlog, where we take you behind the scenes of a filming trip to the Columbia River Gorge! This is your chance to see a filmmaker's routine up close, from a delicious breakfast at Memaloose State Park campground to setting up for epic shots on June 8th, 2022. We'll explore the incredible Horsethief Butte Trail with breathtaking views and fascinating geological history.

Filming nature requires capturing every detail, from the vast landscapes to the tiniest insect. This trip wouldn't be possible without the right gear. The powerful Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 12K camera and lenses allow me to shoot stunning 8K HDR footage, perfect for showcasing the Gorge's grandeur. I rely on my GoPro Hero 9 Black cameras to capture the scenic drives and those unexpected moments. And to document the entire adventure, from setting up camp to interviewing experts, Mykhailo used the trusty Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. Having the right tools is essential for creating beautiful and informative nature documentaries.

On this filming trip, we'll be venturing out to explore the Horsethief Butte Trail. This exciting path promises breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge. The trail itself winds around the base of the butte, offering a chance to get up close to this fascinating geological formation. As we hike, we'll be keeping an eye out for interesting plant and animal life, all while capturing the beauty of the landscape on camera. There's sure to be a lot to discover on the Horsethief Butte Trail, and I can't wait to share the experience with you!
