I don't know if the eagle understood that Emmett was trying to HELP her, but you could see by the change in her demeanor when she recognized he was not a threat. Thrilling rescue adventure to witness!

Once she realized he wasn't going to harm her, she chilled like a little baby in his arms.❤️

she’ll never forget how kind humans were to her, she’ll have those memories for the rest of her life 😭
  • Animals do speak but only to those who listen! Clearly he heard her speaking and was able to listen and calm her down. What an amazing bird…
  • It's amazing how animals can sense that they're being helped and that they're not in danger. Even the most defensive and farthest from domesticated animals. Pretty cool.

I love that there are people out there like this guy. I always think that the more kindness you show to animals the more blessed you will be in life.

What a privilege and honor to be able to help such a magnificent bird of prey.
  • I've held a female bald eagle at the wild bird rescue I volunteer for. She was so STRONG! My arms were sore for 2 days after. They are beautiful creatures. I love this group of people for giving this eagle a second chance at life! ❤️

This man & his crew are heroes. Beautiful to see her fly off the way she did.
  • I rescued an eagle once on Deal Island in Maryland, it remains, to this day, one of the most powerful memories. Such beautiful creatures.

I can imagine that being really traumatizing for that poor bald eagle glad she’s safe now

The grin and look of sheer awe and disbelief on his face while cradling a bald eagle on his lap, clutching her tightly to his chest......priceless.

In Hershey, PA my wife and I use to rescue injured Hawks, Falcons, and Kestrels. When a injured bird was found the people called us and we would do a basic health check and then we would wrap the bird in a light blanket. We left the head and feet unwrapped so the bird knew we were nor going to hurt it. My wife would carry the bird on her lap which was covered by a small towel. A rapture bird rehab was nearby so it was easier to take the bird in the car which was a Dodge Neon 2 door. We made about 13 or 14 runs over the 6 years we lived there. The people that gave us the biggest hassle were the local police. They would worry the bird would break loose and it would cause me to get into a an accident. We were at the release for several of the ones we rescued. We were never trained to do this, but I guess we did a good job since all the birds we brought to the rehab were able to be released.
  • If he was staring into the eagle’s eyes, she was staring into his. Wow ♥️♥️♥️
