Credits to Bervik for enlightening me on the huge performance and stability changes on Xenia since I had last tried it. Smooth 60 fps throughout. This depends on your PC, but the average higher-end PC will have 50-60fps, and low end systems will still enjoy 30 fps. According to many in the Xenia community, the game is fully playable with little to no major bugs or glitches.

Compared to the last time I tried RDR1 on Xenia Canary on my same system, this is a huge performance increase, from around 25fps to 60fps leap.

I will probably do a full playthrough as this is the first time I've ever experienced playing this game on 60fps and 2K QHD.

Undead Nightmare Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRmSwhMlKio The game will work for entry-level PC's with a smooth 30fps minimum for the most part. Mid level PC's will probably be able to achieve 60fps. I did some research and here is the type of performance you can expect to achieve (roughly) with your graphics card. (Entry Level) GTX 1050ti: 30 fps GTX 1060 - 1070: 30-40 fps stable GTX 1080: 50-60 fps Radeon 550x Mobile: 30fps Radeon RX 570: 30-40fps stable Radeon RX 580: 40+ fps (Mid Level) Radeon 5700/5700XT: 40-60 fps stable (30-40 fps upscaled) Radeon 6600: 50-60 fps (or 30-40 upscaled) GTX 1660 Super: 40-60 fps RTX 2060: 40-60 fps RTX 3060: 60 fps stable (Higher End) RTX 2070s: 60 fps stable RTX 3070: 60 fps upscaled (this video) RTX 3080: 80 fps upcaled RTX 3080ti: 100fps upscaled RTX 3090: 100+ fps 4K Upscaled RTX 4090: why even ask (Please take into account your CPU too, and consider this a rough estimation for CPU's like the Ryzen 2600x/Intel i5 11th gen and above for higher end GPU's. Also consider in the performance patches available at your behest too.) I found this great video guide by 'Beyond The Hype' in the installation and rundown on low and high end PC's (as well as how to go about getting the actual game), check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx4dACV6Wh4 Hope that helps. Again, the biggest takeaway is that this game is FINALLY ACCESSIBLE on the entry level of tier of graphics cards now and reaps the same OR better performance and resolution as the original PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
  • There is something so special about this game, that even rdr2 could not replicate, and i'm not even sure what it is. The character designs, the spaghetti western aesthetic, world design, dark storytelling, who knows, is just magic.
  • @kodemasterx
I'm 60% through the game, running at 4K 70-90fps on a 3080ti, sometimes when I arrive at a town, it goes down to the 50s but after a second or two it gets stable. Xenia is really doing this game justice finally.
  • @SGman3000
Soo happy its finally playable at a good speed now. This is one of my favorite games ever made, it's still just as unique as the sequel and still surpasses it in some ways I think. It's still one of Rockstar's most beautiful open worlds.

GTA 4 and RDR1 were the first games i played that had real mocap in them. Safe to say, the mocap in those games still looks ALOT better than some gamesthat came out after GTA4 and RDR1, that still dont use mocap.
  • @NeonNovaFilms
Will I get decent performance with R9 5900x and 6800 XT (and 32GB DDR4)? Like 60 fps stable at 1440p? If so, does anything break in-game at 60fps? Like the Euphoria physics? Or is everything functioning perfectly and the game can be beat 100%?
  • @derekhatake
i remember telling you about this a few months ago, nice to see you try it out as well. I have already clocked 50hrs on RDR1 and Undead Nightmare on a 1650 combined since discovering that its actually playable end of september.
  • @koolin3613
Aside from this video being very funny, it is also a great showcase of how emulation is a great thing! Imagine telling someone like 4-5 years ago that we would be running Red Dead Redemption 1 at 4K 60fps on PC
  • @RuzeGM
FINALLY I can re-play this masterpiece. Very playable, thank you leyend <3
  • As someone that’s been following this since 2013 I am amazed. Gonna look into trying it myself
  • @MkdMuzza
This masterpeice still hold up so well👌
  • Truly unfortunate that now Modern audiences won't be able to experience this on next gen tech anymore 😔
  • @saulman12
I played and finished this on the xenia master last year, with all less than 30 fps not to mention very unstable. Glad it’s better now compared then.
  • @luke7663
Thanks for making this video. I got back to playing it and I want to share that the game does run relatively smoothly with micro stutters here and there but overall a seamless experience (30~40fps). My specs: i3 9100f 16gb gtx 1650 Super 120gb ssd + 500gb ssd
  • @srchzo
i love the expression butter smooth xDDD americans are funny man and good benchmark video brother, i might try this
  • @shields4815
Are you running the exact settings from the tutorial you linked in the description? If not, what have you changed?
  • I know this is an old video but what is the minimum cpu to run this at atleast 30 fps? I have amd a10-5800k, it's intel equivalent is core i3 3220 if you are unfamiliar with the amd one.
  • can you make a tutorial of how to play with keyboard and mouse? it would be great
  • I remember back in 2017 when i tried this game to play on i5-5200u with r5 2 gb and 8 gb ram laptop on 25 fps on Rcps3 damn.... time fly
