New York's three closest airports move 140 million people in and out of the most visited place in the United States. But these three travel hubs were not designed to handle this growing number of visitors. Here’s how New York's airports are evolving to handle one of the most complex airspaces on Earth.

Join Cheddar & CuriosityStream as we explore the unique histories and modern challenges, defining the future of each of New York City's one-of-a-kind infrastructure systems, in NYC Revealed.

  • I am frustrated. The thumbnail looked like this would be about managing NYC airspace.
  • @dojokonojo
Lol this felt like a Discovery Channel documentary from the early 2000s, did Cheddar go and poach their staff
  • It's the "most complex airspace" but we didn't talk about airspace we talked about groundspace
  • @StevvieZz
Can we get a part 2 by Wendover Productions? We want the ENTIRE overview with DETAILS about every aspect please
  • Airports and highways get unlimited subsidies, but passenger rail is required to pay their own way.
  • @Prockski
Wait a second. For a moment I thought this was Wendover Productions.
  • @fiverareblanks
what we need is a 300mph rail link between Washington DC, NY and Boston
  • @Bum_Hip
A convenient, affordable transportation system like Newark has to Penn Station would help tremendously. One could pick from all three instead of whatever one is the least pain in the butt to use.

i thought i had two videos open simlataneoulsy by mistake, turns out it's just that the background music is so louder than needed
  • @casuallystalled
the problem is that LGA, EWR, and JFK are too big to be that close together in terms of airspace
  • Literally working on terminal e going up right now for delta. It’s an amazing project. I’m lucky enough to get to see behind the scenes.

This should have a product placement notice. Nothing but a puff piece for New York airports.

This video and narrator looks and sounds like the old Discovery Channel documentaries that would air each night, before they changed to Duck Dynasty or whatever. Makes sense that it's done in partnership with CuriosityStream, which was founded by the creator of the Discovery Channel, who was saddened how its new owners ruined the channel.
  • Who on earth edited this video? Not the pace or quality I expect from Cheddar. Feels like something from a cable channel in 2007.
  • @RichJordan3
Very cool, just like the golden Era of TLC shows. Great to see how the airports work, I thought it was about how the three airports handle flights together. I'd love to see how that many planes and dealt with
  • @mardine9931
I find your videos always interesting but with the last couple of videos it seems like the background music is louder and a bit distracting. It makes it harder to follow all the information you are trying to communicate. Maybe dail it down a bit?
  • @TorreFernand
Repeatedly "look how horrible this airport is!" shows one of the most beautiful airport images ever
  • @Meatball_Wizard
If I controlled airspace I’d just tell all the pilots to wing it 😎
