In this video, I finally open up about the unhealthy habits I struggle with and the addiction that I needed to stop this year because of the effect it was having on my life.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Hey guys, welcome back to another video and in this one, I wanted to open up about some of the things I have struggled with massively on my fitness journey. Because my journey has been far from perfect and to get to the place I am on, I've had many setbacks, I've gone down a lot of wrong paths and I'm still trying to get better every single day.

But I know that being open and honest about these things is so powerful because it helps you guys realise that you're not the only one that finds the whole getting in great shape thing difficult. And if hearing back the unhealthy habits I struggle with and the "addiction" that almost ruined my life prevents you from making the same mistakes, that's amazing.

So I hope you get something from it!

And on top of that, I do of course have some brand new low calorie high protein meals to share with you. So if you're following any sort of diet whether it's to lose fat or gain muscle and you're looking for some calorie friendly, high protein meals that are easy to make, these will be right up your street!

Hi Jonathan I love your recipes tried lots of them please keep sharing 👍👍👍
  • Caffeine addiction is a tough one. Definitely helps when cutting but easy to get dependent on it. Jonathan, what's your height? You're around my goal physique and I'm trying to get an idea of what I might weigh at a similar level of leaness? Thanks!
  • @Labyriiint
Scrambled eggs on toast is lowkey one of my favorite meals. I usually make my own breakfast sausage to it as well. Mix lean ground meat of choice with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, swerve brown sugar, sage, allspice and chili flakes and form it to small patties
  • I really liked your talk at the end - definitely something I’m thinking about.
  • @briannelson6407
I love your channel. You’re a great inspiration to me. Keep up the good work. Looking great. Thanks

Got a caffeine addiction as well when I started getting into fitness and wanted to cut because coffee would stimulate my hunger as well as provide energy so I got away with eating waaaay too little calories, on top of that coffee is a laxative so my weight dropped very fast
  • @chicoloco
Jonathan, you made it again! Great recipes
  • Thanks for being so real! I need to try the way u made your eggs, my hubby doesn't like the way I cook it for him, but hey protein is protein!

Sugar addiction lol! I go over board on my cheat day to the extent that I have a hangover the next day through having to much of it. 😩
  • @Chi-for-4
I like that you don’t pretend to be a perfect human being who can conquer all.
  • Coming back to this video after having made both of these recipes. Can confirm that they are in fact absolute bangers
  • Love these recipes! Can you do more with prawns or other fish? Thanks for all the content!!
  • Hi Jonathan just found your channel looks like very useful info for me. My experience during the lockdown was embarrassing my next door neighbour was expecting at the time noticing that I was gaining weight I agreed I got addicted to junk food and Everytime We weighed in I gained more weight than she did throughout the pregnancy by the time she gave birth I have gained 90 lbs almost double what she did I found that junk food was more addictive than smoking it's definitely taking me a lot longer to lose it that it is to gain it
  • One unhealthy habit I have picked up is that I won’t eat anything that I don’t know the calories for. Like today I was craving this pasty that they make at a local bakery but I refused to go have one because there is no way to know exactly how many calories are in it. I’ll have a treat but only if i KNOW it can be tracked

In the US we have some ridiculous low cal breads that I find are such a versatile addition to any meal. I always get the Keto Bread by L'Oven which is 35 cal/slice. When toasted they are actually indistinguishable from normal bread imo. An absolute game-changer! There is another brand called Extraordinary Bites Keto Bread that I want to try that are only 30 cals per 31g slice! 🤯I will usually toast the bread and then soak them in egg whites to make a macro-friendly French toast, then I drizzle on some 10 cal maple syrup and cinnamon and have it with a 30 cal almond milk latte. With 4 slices of French Toast the entire meal comes to < 300 cal.

I was def addicted to stimulants when I was younger, worse than caffeine. (and including caffeine). Anyways, after years of healing, yada... I now take theacrine 100mg instead of caffeine. Works for me, gives you a mental focus and energy, no jitters.
