Sasha - Essential Mix (1994)

This mix is now just over 30 years old and still as fresh as the day it was first broadcast - definitely one of the seminal Essential Mixes IMO. I remember listening to this live on the radio, recording it on a 90 min tape, always gutted that I couldn’t get the last 30 mins! Must have played this 10,000 times over the past 3 decades!

Sasha was my fave dj of my clubbing years seamless mixes and great tunes ! he had me Up and down like a yo-yo😛Shelley's ,back to basics ,steering wheel ,renaissance 91,93 Who was there😃

Loved Sasha when he was playing this Progressive / Epic House stuff, dreamy, drifty, vocal, bass, beats and stuff to take you on a journey big time :)

Well into my 40s and still can't enough of Sahsa 90's prog house trance style. Its the morning school run sound track these days, oh how times change. At least educating the future generation.

A few years ago i found these mixes . I instantly fell in love with them . And of course this bangs in my car nowadays , not the 'modern' pop shits on the radio.-.-

this is a classic for me. i remember recording this to tape for my sony walkman at 24!!!. ive still got the tape cassette in the loft. putting this to a disc for my car now. never let this classic die. this was the only time i listened to radio one. pete tong on saturday.then taped every Essential Mix. then sunday night.

I must have listened to this at the time it was aired as my then wife and I would listen religiously to all of Pete Tongs Essential mixes, taping them and dancing all week long to them. Sasha and Digweed played regularly in my home town of Hasting on the Pier where we had some of the best nights/mornings. Laying on the beach right by the Pier at 5:30am after dancing all night to some of the best House/Trance muzik. Off our faces with friends and strangers alike, all just laying around in bliss and waiting for the sun to come up. Banging memories, absolute gold.❤
