  • That wolf certainly puts the wood in Into The Woods...good God my eyes.

O.o Wow, I thought they were kidding when they said the stage Wolf's costume was......anatomically correct.

Whenever I see Dick Wolf in the opening credits for Law & Order, this scene pops into my head.

I love how the wolf's junk was hanging out and we watched this last year in 7th grade music class. Freaking hilarious.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that this clip of a song from Into the Woods was not only posted on YouTube before the film adaptaion, but was also posted the same year as YouTube's launch? And survived for 13 years without getting stricken for copyright? Truly remarkable, don't you think?

The thrust at the end... Somebody Baptise me

Up here, my eyes are up here Red Riding Hood.

The whole play is revealing the ugly truths in sweet fairy tales and the dark frightening woods is the world as we live in it. The wolf (like the Prince) is a predator. The girl is what we all are.... ignorant of evil. The play is about children growing up and unaware that the curses or spells they have cast on them are born of what we often never take responsibility for. Our own inability to accept that NO ONE IS ALONE and that mistakes are what we all make and to learn how to come together in the dark woods is ur only chance of growing up.

Am I the only one admiring the way they did the wolf's face? Seriously, how'd they do that? Prosthetics? How does he sing with that on? Whatever they did, it looks awesome!
  • @Vgavra
"There's no possible way To describe what you feel When you're talking to your meal". This part is really the best of this song
  • @arlinneser8475
This song is a great lesson to all children. Don't talk to strangers!!! Especially if they're wearing a wolf costume.

Every production (and movie) should keep the tradition of having the Wolf played by the same actor as Cinderella's Prince. If you listen to the Original Cast Album, the extended version of 'Any Moment' even echoes the lyrics of this song - "All are worth exploring, one would be so boring..." It's a subtle but important hint that the Prince is a different kind of predator.
  • But the whole point of this scene is to be uncomfortable. Sondheim said in an interview that his interpretation of the Red Riding Hood story was to draw comparison to child molestation. That's why the wolf is always holding Red (also might explain the...er...anatomically correct wolf). It was supposed to be awkward. BTW, Red Riding Hood is now being played by Lilla Crawford.
  • that moment when you realize it's not a costume, he just isn't wearing pants and he's super fucking hairy
  • @andorthethis
can i pause for a moment to applaud the stage manager for the impeccable timing on calling for the treadmill to stop at 1:07. That is INCREDIBLE haha
  • @joyajohnson2216
By the way, for all of you doubters who don't know if you want to see the movie or not, Johnny Depp made this just as creepy and disturbing as it was supposed to. It was incredible.
  • @myramiller3047
Johnny Depp's was just as creepy, all it was lacking was the Giant wolf wang
  • @H3vnlii
hey uh mr.wolf I think your fly's undone
