16-year-old Hezly Rivera DAZZLES the crowd and earns a spot on the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team

I love her style. It’s so old school the way she doesn’t rush and actually finishes all of her moves. It looks so graceful. She pay attention to the little details.

After every performance I was waiting for her Dad’s reaction LOL

So happy for Hezly!! 🙏🏼💕 She reminds me of Laurie Hernandez in 2016- a young gymnast whose senior debut was so solid, it sent her straight to the Olympics.

Only her first year as a senior athlete, and she becomes an Olympian!

I like this kid a lot! She can actually dance and has the personality to go with it. She's only 16, so I hope she steer clear of injuries, but she shows great promise for Paris and beyond

Just imagine the hours, sweat, and pain these young women have gone through to attain such a level of skill. Respect. Congratulations to Hezly and Team USA!!!!

I am SOOO happy for Hezly! This year's WAG Olympic Trials were really surprising! So sad that Skye, Shilese and Kayla got hurt, but that opened doors for other gymnasts to have a real chance to making the team. They had to prove themselves and it was so surprising to watch this 16 year old step foward and show everyone that she deserved this chance. She really was the underdog, I doubt anyone would've bet she would make the team before the trials started. But, once they did, I couldn't not cheer for her, she proved she could be part of the team! I wonder how her, her family and her coaches must feel now. Just days ago they couldnt't even dream with achieving this, but with so many changes these past few days, it became a possible dream and, not only that, a dream they achieved! She really must be on cloud nine right now! So so happy for them! And so excited to watch her, Chiles, Simone, Jade and Suni on Paris! What a team!

When I was 16, I felt so grown up and mature. Now that I’m 33, I look back at that time and think about how young 16 is. It’s crazy to me that this girl and so many others are competing on an international stage at 16. They are so young.

Dang near cried when her name was called. She did SOOO well & definitely earned her spot 💖 & her father’s reaction was heartwarming
