Imagine being 19 years old and the full crowd at Reading singing your lyrics in your accent
-
for a moment I thought the video was like in 1.75 speed.. thats how fast the old monkeys were
-
Whoa that crowd deserves respect bruh
-
These lads were playing Reading, headlining Glastonbury in their trackkies just after their debut album. Stuff of legend.
-
nostalgia of the days I never lived
-
20 years old Alex Turner was something else
-
it's so sad realizing that, i will never be able to attend live concert of "old" Arctic Monkeys.
-
2006-2007 Arctic Monkeys is the best Monkeys
-
watching this in 2020 makes this seem like a dream /:
-
Considering how early into their career this gig was the sheer number of people in that crowd that were singing all the tracks word for word shows how influential AM were/are. Don't think you'll hear another band/artist with that much of a cult following so early on
-
Drummer is next level. And singing harmonies!
-
I don't know how to describe this but, Matt is genuinely amazing, he can sing while playing despite all the rudeness he puts on the drums and the exhaustion of the whole concert. It's just amazing
-
Debut album,19 years old, no ear piece, 90 odd thousand people. Stuff made of legends.
-
I've never told anyone this, but i was at the this festival specifically to see them, but i was passed out drunk somewhere by the time they started playing and missed the whole thing. It still haunts me to this day. One day when my kids say alcohol isn't that bad, I'm going to tell them this story.
-
Youtube have got some serious balls putting ads during this video in between songs
-
42:20 When you realise all those people are singing lyrics that were written by an 18 year old.
-
I was just shy of turning 15 and was crammed down the front for this. It was such a special night as we'd spent so long hyping them up, sharing demos and following their rise and this was the culmination of that amazing journey. Will never forget it.
-
i was only 5 years old when this happened but i always remember my parents playing What Ever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not for me . How i wish i was 18 year old here so could have experienced this what an absolutely beautiful scenery i'm so jealous of anyone who went
-
I was there! 2006 was one of the best summers of my life, and Reading was the cherry on the cake.
-
"Arctic Monkeys... that's us."
