Aurora Borealis lights up night sky in the UK

Published 2024-05-11
Usually, you have to travel to Scandinavia or at least the northern reaches of Scotland to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, but on Friday night they were visible even in London and Essex thanks to the most powerful solar storm in two decades.

Sightings were also reported in Ireland, Europe, the US, and in parts of the southern hemisphere.

The normally rare display was visible on Friday night because of a “whopping great sunspot” sending eruptions of charged particles directly towards Earth, according to Mathew Owens, professor of space physics at the University of Reading.

  • These sightings of the Aurora Borealis are being seen everywhere because we are living in the end times and Jesus Christ is coming back very soon. It is important to repent for your sins, forgive those who have hurt you, and be Baptized in water and of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said "Unless a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God". Jesus died on the cross for your sins so you can he forgiven and receive the gift of eternal life. Repent today and ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life and heart and be saved. God bless you.
