Civics no longer taught in schools, and it shows by the news heads and the comments.
  • Kings who believed they were above the law usually lost their heads. America is falling off a cliff.

It is worth remembering that the Constitution protects Congress from arrest (Article 1, Section 6: " .. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place." However no such protection is afforded the president in the Constitution. Reasonable minds would infer that the authors feared an aggressive executive much more than any legislature and deemed it proper to protect one and not the other. The supposed "originalist" (actually far-right) justices don't think in these terms rather as to what gives their side more power.
  • So now we have two laws: One for Presidents and one for the rest of us!

What are laws if they can be disregarded as such

No man is above the law in a functioning democracy.

I can't believe we fought a war to get away from monarchs just to end up with this crap 200 years later...

I guess Biden could take Trump out and call it an official act to save Corn Pop. 😊
  • Wouldn’t this ruling render Congress useless? If the King is above the law then his word is absolute and that’s kinda what I’m getting from this… GO BUY A GUN! They’re $400-$600 on average…. And fight for your rights to own a gun AT ALL COSTS.

Time for Biden to send Team Seal 6 after Trump as an official act. He is immune now.
  • If your not blinded by polical belief, it's a fair conclusion to that particular question.

I just love it when the real depots get out and make
  • @Jboog742
That's a dumb ruling...Basically, can get away with anything and call it "official" business...
  • The president goes out to dinner and the Secret service will get into fist fights before the President even knows somebody is mad at him. That was a terrible example.

If the people who thought Beetlejuice was a good choice don't like a decision, you know its the correct one.
